Jay Johnson, soph. RB, #25
Leading rusher for your LSU Tigers when pigs flew in Tuscaloosa on November 8, 1993.

We had 5 rb but 2 and 3 star lineman blocking

Kevin Mawae blocked for him that day. Started at left tackle.

Jay Johnson, Robert Davis, Robert Toomer, Artie Moore and David Butler. Only Butler and Toomer stayed

Artie Moore. Not Archie.
Top RB’s in TX (Johnson), LA (Butler), MS (Moore), AL (Davis), and GA (Toomer). Widely considered the best RB class of all time… at the time.

Wasn't Jay Johnson one of the Johnsons in Blazing Saddles?

I remember him ripping off a 35 yard run on 1st and 20 after a penalty on an INT return took us out of the red zone against Bama in 93. I think he later scored. One of the heroes of that game.

One day he got in trouble for throwing rocks at cars at the union I seem to recall. Head case.
My bad it was James Jaquet that was throwing rocks.

I'm 51, chuckle, and take ZERO offense to what you say, because you sound like me 25 years ago, and I also feel like I'm still in my 30s.
As I've posted a few times over the years on here, listen closely: you are going to BLINK and be 50. Take that to the bank homie, and enjoy the youth you have left.
