Ja'Marr Chase's Record Breaking Season

In addition to Burrow having the greatest football season ever in the SEC, Ja'Marr Chase has a great shot to set SEC single season records for Yards and TD's. He already has the LSU TD record. Chase needs 283 yards in 2 or 3 games to match Josh Reed. And only 1 more TD catch to tie the TD Record. All this and we have him for another year.
He will likely statistically be the best receiver in SEC history after this season.
Also, Jefferson has moved to 2nd in the record books in catches in a season with 81 receptions, only 13 catches behind Reed's 94. Jefferson is also now 7th in yards pulling ahead of Michael Clayton. He needs 152 to move to 3rd place behind Reed and Chase. Jefferson is also 2nd in Touchdowns with 13, passing up Dwayne Bowe's former record.

Just goes to show you how great Josh Reed was when he did it in an offense that wasn’t as wide open as this one.

Not discounting Josh in any way, but Chase and Jefferson are sharing grabs with two other studs WRs.

That offense was pretty damn dynamic.
10-3 LSU
10-3 LSU

Greatest WR in school history. Not even close at this point

Think of all the great WRs just of the past 30, 35 years - Eric Martin, Wendell Davis, Eddie Kennison, Josh Reed, Michael Clayton, Dwayne Bowe, Buster Davis, Early Doucet, OBJ, Juice, Chark, etc.
I think Chase may be the best, most complete receiver we've ever had.
But, what if that's not true and we just have seen these heights because previous coaches were too stubborn to open things up until now (not just talking about Miles, because he only coached a handful of those)?

Needs 2 more TD catches to break Reidel Anthony’s SEC single season record.

Hold up guys Reed was sharing catches as well with Michael Clayton (2nd alltime In catches) and Jarrell Myers (8th alltime).

Man, I still remember that Sugar Bowl against Illinois where it seemed Rohan never ever had to look for his 2nd read. Reed was always open.
