Not a good comparison, looking just at the numbers

So a 6'6 dude almost has Ja'Marr Chase's measurables? That's kinda scary.

re: Ja’Marr Chase v Kyle Pitts Combine Comparison
Only in America are facts downvoted. Teams are at the top of the draft eying the numbers along with game tape trying to decide between taking Pitts or Chase with their pick.

The numbers were provided without commentary. Pitts is basically a slot receiver while
Chase would likely dominate in any of the wide receiver positions, including slot.

Both are probably top five picks. But I don't know why we are comparing a WR to a TE.

I'm not sure Pitts will stay a TE in the NFL.

Because Pitts will likely be a slot receiver in the NFL. He’s not known for his blocking. Teams at the top of the draft are currently weighing which of these players to select as an offensive weapon.

Pitts has 30lbs on Chase and Chase is at least as strong, if not stronger. Now, that is what's scary.

Both are pretty much WRs in the draft, though. No one is drafting Pitts to have him line up with a hand in the dirt. The 6 inches Pitts has on Chase is wild though.

Looks like Chase makes up for the 6 inch height difference by posting a 7” higher vertical.

Don't really understand the downvotes on this. Why is it insane to compare Chase to an absolute freak receiving TE's measurables? The speed times are the only factors that seem irrelevant.

A 6'0 kid jumped significantly higher than a 6'6 kid.

A 207lb kid benched more than a 240lb kid.

Seems noteworthy to me.

They look at very and broad jump too.

I imagine everyone’s 40
Is a little inflated but Chase is a beast.

How is Pitts as a blocker? If he can’t block he’s just a big WR

Right? Pitts is 6" taller and still gives up 1.5" in total peak...that's just insane.

For sure. Of course for slot receivers (like what Pitts will likely be), you're often running routes where it's pretty advantageous to already be at X height, rather than spending time to load up and jump to full extension for it. Think quick slants and such. Still splitting hairs here though. Chase will likely be on the outside where full extension is going to happen at a much higher frequency. So yeah people are kinda comparing apples and oranges here, off the cuff I'd take Chase on the outside but if I'm drafting someone on the inside/slot, kinda ridiculous not to want Pitts.
