Here's the tweet I saw earlier about it...

During the JaMarcus Russell days, Raiders coaches didn’t believe he was watching film. So they gave him blank tapes. The next day, he came in saying he watched “blitz packages.” Again, they were BLANK.

He didn’t need to watch any films to be able to throw it 95 yards in the air

Gosh what a waste of talent. He is a lazy bum. Had so much potential to be a great QB but got lazy and threw it all away

Not even close. Ever heard of Bert Jones or YA Tittle?
JaMarcus is the biggest bust in NFL history. Purple codeine and feeding his fat face were more important that his NFL career. You reap what you sow.

Now he is a punchline.
A cautionary tale. Congrats. . . . . and thanks for embarrassing LSU.

Far from the GOAT QB. He bailed on his team his junior year and embarrassed himself in the NFL. Then he pissed away all of his money and wore a Bama Boy necklace to LSU’s NC game. If he would’ve stayed and won a NC, maybe he would’ve been a goat.

You guys fricking suck.

It didn’t work out for him in the NFL. It happens. I’m sure he has some regrets about how things went for him and that he could have done things differently.

He signed a 60 million dollar contract at the age of what, 22 years old? I’d imagine a lot of us on this board would make some big mistakes in that situation too.

I’m not excusing it, but what he did never hurt LSU. We never lost a recruit because of JR. It was nothing but a positive for LSU to have a number one overall pick, even if it didn’t work out. Can’t imagine why anyone on this board would hate one of the best to ever put on an LSU jersey.

I remember an interview with Saban where he complained about JR not watching film and preparing while at LSU.

Thanks for reminding me of 2 of the worst QB’s in recent history Rohan Davey and Jamarcus Russell. Yes we had worse after that but they were the beginning of the end for QB play in my opinion.

In before Jamie Howard says hello

Give me Alan Risher, and Tommy Hodson any day over those 2.
