Jalen Hurts May Be Unavailable Against LSU

It probably doesn't mean much, but Hurts may be a scratch.
CBS
quote:
"One thing that I want to announce that we didn't know about after the game is Jalen actually twisted his ankle when he scored the touchdown," Saban said about the injury. "He stayed in the game. Nobody really knew about it. It was a bit of a high ankle sprain, and they did a minor procedure to try to help the healing.
"I think he'll be out for one week, and probably will be ready to start working again next week. But it'll be a medical decision as to how fast he can come back. We've had other players have a similar situation and been able to recover fairly quickly."
The key part of Saban's quote is that he "thinks" Hurts will only miss one week of action for No. 1 Alabama. If that's indeed the case, it's not a big deal for Alabama because the Tide have the week off before taking on No. 4 LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Nov. 3. The game will air live nationally on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.

Everyone is affected by injuries. If he's unavailable, then his backup will have to be second in line. While it is good for us if they are thin in any position, it's equally good for them if we are.

Not if he tweaks the precious knee of his. Who is the third stringer?

Doesn't Tua have a bad knee?

If he can't be ready for LSU , Saban will call Sankey to look into the transfer rules involving Burrow. I'm sure there's some technicality to hold him out for one game.

Ok, so Tua is more hurt than expected and he is planning to start Hurts against LSU? When does Saban ever volunteer injury "announcements"?
Posted on 10/22/18 at 1:46 pm to The First Cut
Did he throw the ball too hard and get a flag for unnecessary roughness?

Has Tiger Stadium ever seen a more successful QB (statistically) than Tua?

Don’t believe that rat poison!

Wuerffel would probably be the closest. His teams usually played really tough schedules, though.
