Jaden Hill is out this weekend against Kentucky, LSU coach Paul Mainieri said. He hasn't talked to Hill or the doctor, but "the early report is not very positive."

I'd bet we've seen the last of him in an LSU uniform. Hate it for the kid - he's always hurt

Obviously.

Naptime wouldn't confirm, but I will.

Now we get to hear Mainieri complain about not having Hill every week on his radio show.

I can confirm that he is out as well.

Leaning towards not returning this year. Severely damaged ego as well

It's actually more likely he comes back now than before the injury. He won't be drafted where he wants to be if at all and he will need a year for surgery and rehab and could possible come back and pitch by SEC next year even if it's in a relief roll.

I’m not blaming Paul for the kid getting hurt, but you hope it wasn’t a situation where he was trying to impress scouts and messed his arm up.

Seems like a great kid and I hate it for him if he’s done for the year.

I thought that too but with how often he gets hurt, I'm wondering if he doesn't just go wherever he's drafted rather than run the risk of coming back and getting hurt again. Tough decision to make but I'd love to see him back. Kid has so much raw talent.

Oh he could still definitely go. I'm saying now LSU actually has a chance of getting him back for next year. The roster will have a limit but it won't be down to 35 yet.

Maybe one day the administration will report that Mainieri is out, too.

If he’s smart he’ll sit out the year, hopefully get drafted high, and get developed by an actual pitching coaching that has a fricking clue

You’re not wrong, though if he’s smart he’ll put some distance between himself and Alan Dunn as quickly as possible

Nothing I can confirm yet. Talked to one guy that is very familiar with TJ and he thinks MRI today will confirm it. I’m still not going to speculate at this point.

I understand. I'm familiar with it too which is why I have this perspective.

Thats not how it works. Kid;s barely pitched 50 innings in 3 years. He wont be drafted high if at all.

He will definitely get drafted and he will probably be drafted relatively high for his college statistics. He won’t be a first round pick but his potential is there.
