I've seen these ups and downs before.

Right now we are in the downs. But just the other day LSU had the best season in college football history.

It sucks, and it hurts, but this too shall pass. It feels like the building blocks are in place, across all major sports, for LSU to be successful.

I, personally, am looking forward to the future of LSU sports. It's going to be a bit painful and, as fans, we will all have to be patient, but the alignment is real.

Great runs and periods start at the top. Lots of unanswered questions from the top down right now. Besides Mulkey, we have no proven stars and our Admin has proven to make very questionable decisions.

I think the loss of basketball players and Wade will be the biggest losses of this situation. Basketball will be hurt the most.

Which sucks, but at least we’re looking ok in football.

I mean Brian Kelly. The dude is a winner wherever he goes. McMahon is a coach with a solid background and not to mention the opposite of what got them in hot water. Johnson is a young guy with a winning track record that we've only seen a small sample size. I think the future looks bright on the horizon. Just have to give it some time to get there.

Oh weird, a reasonable LSU fan’s take. What are you doing on the rant? Don’t you know you’re supposed to tuck tail and melt at every bump in the road?

Wade was stupid. Too stupid to be in charge of a SEC program. Whether Wade had gotten away with "big arse offers" or paying from his own checking account, he would have eventually got caught doing something else. Stupid is as stupid does. He couldn't help himself.

Sometimes burning it all down and rebuilding is what is needed. They will recover

Yikes. No words to help this faulty belief.

Only misstep I’ve seen is firing Wade before the tournament. We were an early exit even with him, so the fallout was inevitable either way.

So other than that relatively minor thing, they’ve been pretty sharp. What’s the “questionable” part?

Starting in the late 80’s with baseball, we have lived through an absolutely golden age of LSU athletics. I don’t even consider this a down time.

Dear God no. Google his introductory press conference. My jaw was on the floor.
