I've heard two betting podcasts and both love LSU

Bet the board is with 3 guys from Vegas and then I listened to the Bear and Stanford Steve.
It's odd, both love LSU as well as 90% of the online betters I've seen. Bet the boards computers have LSU at -7 and they think Ole Miss will finish 8-4.
I keep thinking it's too good to be true when everyone is betting LSU but let's ride.

It’s a sharp play to bet a home favorite over a road road when they’re favored. Sharps are on LSU.

It’s not a hot take for talking heads to follow the sharp money. That’s betting 101.

The Cover 3 crew was all over taking Ole Miss and the points.

Oddshark computer has OM by ten and public money tracker has 56% of money on OM ATS. Oddshark computers are better than 50% picking but I also love fading the public. Personally, I think LSU D shuts OM down at home in a major way. Loading up on LSU.

Pretty sure all of them were going ole miss.
Bud didn’t select it. He took total under. But I believe he said he expects ole miss to win.

Good point. I went back and listened again, and it was not as bad as I thought.
--The guest picker and the dentist were on Ole Miss at plus 2.
--Bud and Chip took the under 68 (ETA, which has now dropped to 65).
--Tom took a moneyline sprinkle with Ole Miss at plus 120.

This is a tough game to predict, especially this far into the season. We don’t really know who Ole Miss is because they haven’t played anyone. We don’t really know which LSU will show up. We’ve been completely different teams, not just from game to game, but quarter to quarter.
You’d think Tiger Stadium would be a big advantage, but we saw how quickly the crowd can get taken out of the game with some quick turnovers and scores.
I was talking to a buddy just before kickoff last week, and neither one of us had any idea what to expect. I said the only only outcome that would surprise me is if we blew them out by 3 touchdowns or more (and we almost did). I think this game is even harder to predict. We could get run out of Tiger Stadium like UT did is or we could run Ole Miss out just the same. And obviously anything in between.
I’ll convince myself we’ll win just before kickoff like I have every game the past 35 years. But I don’t see how an objective gambler could think they have any good handle on how this will turn out.
Btw, can’t fricking wait.

IMO, what you are seeing is not so much the "sharps" loving LSU as much as they are distrusting Ole Miss at this time. Ole Miss is 7-0 and ranked number 7. But, their toughest game (Kentucky) was a 3 point home victory and their only two road games of the season (Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt) may has well have be in a morgue. Many people are thinking this is a good, but not great, Ole Miss team that is going to struggle in its first game in a true road environment.
Hopefully they are right. Because there was also a lot of sharp money that didn't fully trust Tennessee either when they walked into Tiger Stadium. It took exactly ONE play for that narrative to flip.
