Tell us what you know, oh wise one. You do have a point, right? Or is this just a drive by insult, like everything else on this board?

Facts

I started about the same time going to games. It frustrates me to
no end hollering about something that they don’t even know what the rule
actually is. Either educate yourself on basketball or keep quite.

The officials are terrible, but they seem much worse to the fans that don’t
understand basketball and the rules

Yeah, I know. It's a message board. You have to take it with a grain of salt. It's like people who think that twitter represents the pulse of the populous when, in fact, all of social media makes up something like 2% of the population. Most people would rather not be bothered by this sort of thing, but people like you and I are bored enough to come here and post. Unlike people who think something to themselves as they are watching a game, whatever anyone posts on a message board is frozen in time for everyone to see. You see a lot of emotional reactions here.

All of this is to say that our fan base is not unique. Your thread title is every bit as hyperbolical as those you referenced. Saying we have the dumbest fans, or worst fans, ignores the fact that you can go to any message board for any fan base, and find the same stuff. And it is never going to be truly representative.

I'm not saying don't be annoyed by it, or don't correct anyone. I'm just tired of people insulting the entire fan base because of what they see on this board.

I thought there was going to be more substance to this post.

I AM A LONGTIME lsumbb FAN AS WELL. What LSU MBB has is many if not most of its fans do NOT watch much college basketball other than LSU. I watch 6-8 full non-LSU games a week because I love the sport.

Because most of our fans focus only on what LSU does and does not do, they do not know that how we play offense is how most talented teams play offense. And this year's LSUMBB team plays D better than most college ranked teams I have seen.

We do turn the ball over way too much. And our players' shooting touch is average to bad at times. We just do not have great BASKETBALL talent at most positions.

It has been a disappointing year, IMO, because we only went 9-9 in the SEC. But WW has the program in an SEC contending position now and continues to recruit well enough to sustain it.
