We've seen teams with far less talent move the ball 10x better on teams they should've never been on the same field( purdue vs ohio st, arkansas vs alabama miami vs syracuse etc etc etc) but we cant move the whole game. For real the whole game and they say its the personnel..... Yeah right......

You're right, Jay. Those Ensminger apologists are friends of Ensminger or the family or big fans of Ensminger, but deep down they know Ensminger cannot coordinate an offense to compete with sabam.

I haven't seen a genuine screen play since Faulk either. How hard is it when it's run at Jr. HIGH LEVELS? So I agree, it's coaching, development, play calling, sequence.

I said it a thousand time Walsh developed the West Coast offense because he had speedy receivers and Montana had a weak arm. He designed offense around his personnel strengths. Why do we try to fit a square peg in a round hole?

Man i truly believed that it was going to be a better game for the offense... But what we seen lastnight was truly horrible.. Im still a tiger fan and i think coach o has done an outstanding job IMO but if we dont get more creative on offense we wont get pass Alabama or clemson....oh yeah and watch mississippi st have great success against a defense that we made look like the Baltimore ravens.

O and E went into the game with the pass first scheme and never changed it or adjusted even after Alabama shut it down. Talent was not the major issue. Teams with supposedly less talent have put up some respectful scores against Alabama. The O and E show couldn't.

We ran for 12 yards. Obviously nothing we called worked unless we threw it to Jefferson.

idiot. they damn sure tried running the ball and had negative yardage doing it. the only way we had a chance was to pass the ball.

Definitely the scheme, and coaching. We are just psyched out when we play Bama.

I suspect we have better talent than Arkansas, and they found ways to score.

Of course it’s scheme. Yeah our line could be better but there are ways of masking an average OL. I would be willing to bet anything that SELA would have been more productive on offense against their starters than we were. SELA doesn’t have a quarter of the talent we have but they do have a better OC.

It is very hard to believe that a pro style offense can ever compete with Bama effectively. Seems to me a read option is a better way to go vs Bama.

Dumbass - They only ran a total of 25 attempts out of 60, which included several defense induced scrambles. The 35 passing attempts didn't include those scrambles either. So the ratio was even greater. Alabama does have more talent, but teams with less talent than LSU have managed to drive and score against them. The offense was essentially one dimensional. This made it easy for Bama to defend. It was obvious that Bama was not at all concerned about an LSU run game. From the first play, LSU was pass first. You call someone who might have a different opinion than you an idiot so, basically, GFU. But pull your head out of the coaches' asses first. It might make it easier.

Why do far less talented teams have better production against bama than us?

We don’t have the personnel to run the offense we are trying to run.

True....so change the scheme to fit the personnel if thats the problem.... A few years ago alabama was a ground and pound team with decent but not spectacular qbs, then comes lane kiffin and takes the offence to new levels within a season... I forget the quarterback he had after aj, but made him look great.... So whats our problem.... Arkansas when petrino was there, ole miss hugh freeze...... Something has to change... Im not a analyst like some people but i see what works and what doesn't
