That is our root issue.

That does NOT mean it is the only issue, so don't get off-point.

IF we had Bama-quality LT and RT, the game would have gone differently.

Their Dline had an much easier task than our Dline, PRIMARILY BECAUSE their Tackles are vastly better than ours in 2018.

Thomas and Rosenthal can change that in 2019.

Yes.Tua is way better. Yes, to other points. Yes,Coach E lacked the best game plan.

But the main root cause reason for the mis-match on Saturday night is how little time we afforded our QB.

Face it.

I think you must have watched a different game because their interior defensive linemen had a field day as well

There was a play where Quinnen Williams single handedly ran straight through a Brumfield and Cushenberry double team to sack Burrow.

It ain't just the tackles baw

With a Freeze or Kiffin offense, our same tackles would not have looked so bad.

They highlighted Williams pushing Cush back into Burrow play after play. It was brutal.

It's no single position. By and large, LSU has made playing QB incredibly difficult for the past decade. I watch a ton of CFB, and any random game has significantly better schemes than whatever LSU runs.

It is almost impossible to be so consistently bad at throwing the football considering all of the changes over the past decade. I think we're legitimately cursed.

Deculus isn't a sec caliber tackle.

It's our o-line.

Couldn't run the ball: that's on the o-line.

Burrow never had time: that's on the o-line.

Scheming could have been better to mitigate the o-line, but at the end of the day we just got beat in the trenches on offense.

And once Burrow started scrambling he was toast.

Coaches should have already identified that the o-line is a weakness. This should have yielded a complete change in the scheme with an extra week to prepare. Shotgun, no drop back, quick release, with short timing routes, and creative rub routes. Instead the dumb arse offensive coordinator stuck with slow developing pass plays, on obvious passing downs only, and deep routes that never had a chance. He gets paid way too much to be responsible for zero points in 8 quarters. There is always a weak area, but a good coordinator can hide the deficiency and still find success.

Burrow holds the ball too long. Any longer than 3 seconds against that defense is stupid. Many times he had at least 3 seconds, but he held it and was sacked.

step 1: DL blows past your OL
step 2: call a pay to counter act attacking DL
step 3: repeat as necessary

we missed this part

I saw Magee at RT Saturday getting worked. IDK if Deculus played.

78 didn't make a block all day either. Our receivers are running 4 second routes and our O LINE cant hold a block for 2 seconds. No offense can operate with those numbers. No imagination on offense, NONE!
