It’s gonna be Corbin

Or Vitello (even though I doubt it’s Vitello)...Otherwise it would be announced by now. If Scott hires Corbin it’ll be the holy grail of hires, kinda like Kim Mulkey. That’s more consistent with Woodward’s history than settling for Bianco, which would be the Alleva hire.
Scott knows Corbin would be the true game changer for LSU baseball. Even the Bertman Bianco homers could not argue against hiring Corbin.

I think so too. It makes too much sense to me with the time it's taking and who our athletic director is and his MO for hiring coaches in the past. I think we made Corbin a very strong arse offer and he's waiting until their season is over at vandy to make his decision and that's what's cause for the delay right now. That's what makes the most sense. If we were truly after Bianco or Godwin, and they've already interviewed, it wouldn't take this long to get one of them to agree to be our coach. We are waiting on a huge hire.

I heard and read that Corbin hates the female AD at Vandy total bitch with a capital C.

Listen I love LSU but what non-alumnus would leave that cushy spot at Vandy to come here?

Lol. I know. That's ridiculous. He's only 59 ffs.

Bc LSU is a more cushy spot than vandy is. LSU is the best of the best as far as college baseball programs are concerned. We have the largest budget, the expectations/commitment to excellence, even more of a tradition rich history, much more fan support, much more money and resources, the best facilities, and he could make whatever demands he wishes at lsu and get it fairly quickly without batting an eye. He could also recruit better here than at vandy, even though they have recruited very well there under Corbin. LSU is definitely a better job than Vanderbilt, no question.

Man I never thought I’d meet a bigger homer than myself. Wiki says he’s already making $2.3M so I feel like we might need to hit $3M.
Plus I legitimately don’t think I’ve ever seen a better starting duo than Rocker and Leitar.
Gausman and Nola coulda been in 2013

Man you have some thick purple and gold glasses on. Vandy has recruiting advantages and clearly they are willing to pay for Corbin. As far as AD and fan support, yes LSU is top tier. We aren’t the best facilities either, but do have very nice ones.

Not Corbin. He had this same opportunity years ago before Vandy became the powerhouse it is now but turned down the job saying he couldn't see himself coaching against his Vandy players. Really wish he had taken it. Likely would have been another run of NCs. But now he doesn't need LSU to bolster his legacy in college baseball. Another 5 or 6 years at Vandy and likely another championship during that time and he retires as a legend. No, Corbin doesn't leave Nashville.

Where do you want to live ? He wins nattys where he is a million dollars a year more to live in that shithole BR no way in hell. Godwin is the most obvious choice.

When you woke up this morning, did you think the year was 1999?

Ok, now you've clearly are confused. The gap between LSU and the rest of the SEC has closed. Multiple schools have passed LSU in facilities. I really have no clue what you have been paying attention to, but I know it's not baseball in the SEC.

Give it another day or two. I would say if it isn’t announced by Thursday then I agree.

Holy shite. If this is a troll attempt....well done

I’m not going to pretend to know if he’d leave Vandy to come here but I do think that’s who Woodward wants and he’s waiting to try to make a serious run at him after the season

You slept through the last 20 years, Rip Van Winkle. Time to wake up to reality. While you were sleeping the rest of the SEC caught on to baseball being a real sport. LSU fans still believe they are entitled to a national championship every two years, which means Corbin’s leaving a job where he’s exceeding expectations to come to a job where his current resume is barely acceptable (O’Sullivan’s was not acceptable and he’s had more success over the last 12 years). schools. Schools started pouring resources into baseball (LSU’s stadium is not even the best in its own division). And, fans started showing up (not just buying tickets like at LSU).
Corbin may come to LSU, but it won’t be for the reasons you mentioned, it will be to bring a once great program back to the top, not to keep it there as you suggest. He’d also take a 50% pay cut or LSU will have to double what it has paid in the past. With Mulkey and football eating into salaries and lower donor participation due to COVID and the left-leaning agenda of the university that will be an interesting dynamic give that LSU will not see greater income revenue from winning more games. They already sell out the stadium, so the only revenue would be concessions if fans actually show up. That’s a tough sell for everyone.

I believe Corbin is already at $2.5m at Vandy, so it would have to be more than that I would think
