His players are in place this year at Lsu with a good defensive staff

No guarantee how quickly he turns TAM around and even if it happens

It the end goal is a HC job it happen quicker With a squad ready to roll ..of course Lsu has to come close

The best thing would be for him to leave and LSU puts up season highs like on Chavis

Well doubling his salary kind of makes up for that risk, but ok.

You're pretty adamant about that in other threads too. Any reason?

Big time risk. He would be going to a total rebuild at A&M and to a program that is inferior to LSU. But money talks.

Money aside I think it would be a huge mistake to leave for A&M, Jimbo or not. Personally I don't think Jimbo will succeed there and will be gone within 3 to 5 years. There was zero excuses for FSU to go 7-6. His talent pool won't be close to what he had and could bring in at FSU. Just my two cents.

not necessarily. Waiting 2 or 3 years could me more money. Knowing he'd be stepping down in talent has to be pivotal for him.

A bigger risk for Aranda to stay because O's regime is unstable and O could go out in 2 years.

Pretty much any incoming coach would desire to keep Aranda on as DC.

Not really. It would be best for Aranda to wreck shite for 2 more years with the defense and depth he's building here. If O gets fired, then he'll take our head coaching position or maybe get a chance to run Seattle's defense with Carroll. It's not like O doesn't have some nice connections.

I agree. If Alleva isn't going to shell out big money for a coach, why not give DA a raise and promote him to HC?
