I just can’t help but feel that this game has all of the elements necessary for a flippin trap game.

1. On the road
2. Hostile environment
3. Bad blood between the two
4. Won’t get a single call go our way
5. Tim frickin Tebow is their pep talk person
6. Mullen is a good schemer along w/ their DC
7. LSU fans and talk shows already know we win & are looking forward to Georgia, even discussing it.
8. It’s before a enormous, potential top 5 matchup at home, how could one not look forward to it?
9. It’s a day game on the road. I know, we beat Auburn day game. Still like night games.
10. Everyone says Franks sucks but we were sure mad when he flipped on us.

The point is, I hope the players don’t drink the koolaid. FL is very capable if you aren’t ready. Don’t lose the tenacity along with the chip on your shoulder that’s got you here. Take care of the ball and play with that same sense of urgency.

For the record: Tigers 31 Gators 20

I think it will be great opportunity to witness athletic fervor on the field portrayed through the medium of football

I highly doubt Ed & Aranda have forgotten about the arse kicking Mullen gave them last year. I see this game becoming a blow out

How in the frick could a 1 loss Florida Gators at home be a trap game. This is a full retard thread. LSU knows that if they don’t play at their best they will get a L.

Very good point. I forgot that it was this current FL staff that gave us our worst beating in the last however many many years.

But I agree, I’d be watching that film closely as well and I hope they pick up some weaknesses.

I like your confidence. I’m on board. I just get nervous that’s all.

Uh I’d much rather play them during the day than at night. We talk about the magic of TS at night, but I assume most stadiums are more electric at night, especially the Swamp.

All of this. Florida will never be a trap game - even though they're not what they were under CUM, everyone knows coming out of Gainesville with a win takes 100% effort and focus.

I like our chances with a Aranda defense and joe Burrow as our qb. I am not impressed with Franks I think we win this one.

1) I don’t think anyone will ever overlook UF or playing in tSwamp, our players understand the magnitude of the game and quality of opponent.

2) They are a one deminsional run first offense and their third down percentage is awful. They run a read option and have a QB with a inaccurate noodle arm, he’s going to turn the ball over. Greedy is going to pick him off on those RPO slants, he may even take one to the house.

3) While their defense leads the league in turnovers it seems to be the byproduct of a weak schedule, drastically inferior opponents, and opponent’s special teams bugaboos.

4) UF is giving up on average 175 yards on the ground per game. FYI, LSU never or rarely loses when they rush for over 150 yards.

5) There defense is built similar to that of UM, in that they have a massive DLine chalk full of NFL talent, but we have faced two teams with greater than or equal to talent and came out of top. Health OLine!

6) Our passing game is starting to really roll and we have drastically improved 3rd down percentages (nearing 50% on the season).

7) The defense has given us two “meh” performances at home whereas they seem to be playing with more vigor on the road (e.g., UM game in Dallas & Auburn). I’d expect Aranda has been hostile af in the film room and on the practice field, look for the defense to come out with something to prove against the Gators. White, Divinity, Fehoko, Delpit, Logan, Phillips, and Williams finnah eat!

I’m so sick of the term “hostile environment.” It’s so overused and cliché.

I like how you laid all that out, and while much of it is real, this is actually the game where we shut the nay-sayers up. Where the rest of our opponents get scared of the Tigers. There are too many on this team...from the Coach, to the QB, to the RB to the kicker, who have more than too much to prove to many who never believed in them. This one is no trap, it is revenge and separation...and it will be super sweet. Bookmark it. This will be a special year. Very special.

Not a "trap game"; it's fricking Florida. We hate each other, want to kill each other, and winning will always be tough.

A trap game is a seemingly easy game between two other tough games. LSU understands that this game is part of the gauntlet...LSU by 6+...

I didn’t think it was a trap game til I saw the point spread. -2.5 is fishy and feels like a trap.

Trap game means unforeseen. It comes out of no where and wasn't expected. Didn't see it coming.

This is NOT that.
