We all know he’d be getting killed if Greedy and Devin ran 4.6.

Of course he is. However, many of these kids hire personal coaches who train them specifically how to properly run the 40 and maximize their potential running it. That's not Moffitts job.

He deserves praise for his part in it but there's others involved as well. And genetics never hurt

Not much. These players spend months with specialized training just for the combine

Moffit is only responsible for bad combines or when LSU losses 7 OT games

Technique can be taught to make someone a little faster. These guys train just for the combine from the moment they leave school until they are done running 40’s and doing drills. They will go back to training for football after they are drafted.

With that being said if anything good happens to LSU it is despite anyone that actually is paid by LSU. It’s amazing how the athletic department can thrive despite so many mediocre people.

I think he deserves some of the credit, but these guys prepare differently than they did 20 years ago. Now they have specialized coaches for one particular skill and another coach for another skill. It's crazy, but Moffitt definitely needs to be given some credit for at least providing a solid foundation to work with!

This! Just like the coaches are only responsible for losses and players are responsible for wins. Moffit should be fired for Brosette's poor day benching 225. Players speed is purely on the player.

No. Speed is a gift from God. Training helps, but there is no secret as to the training needed. Getting out of the blocks is a learned technique, as is the first 10 strides in a sprint, but these are useless to football teams, so they are not taught.

Nope, the A&M game was forfeited when McMahon decided it was a good idea to let Giles field the punt in that critical point in the game. Orgeron approved the call too, so that's Double Jeopardy there. Giles fields that punt cleanly and the game is likely over in regulation. Should've been an 11 win season.

I believe it speaks to more to the type of athlete we recruit. Speed seems like a big priority. I can’t remember the last time it seemed like a team had better speed than we did.

That's a point that is TECHNICALLY true but then why do these kids have speed coaches...you gonna turn a 4.9 guy into a 4.4 guy, No, but does speed training make you faster, OF COURSE it does

bullshite.
Everyone of those kids in the combine have personal coaches/gyms they workout with/at.
It's apple's to apples no matter how you twist it.
