You saying this after three games is ridiculous.

Hard to say if #1 now, but damb I'm glad he's on the good guys team. If he keeps up like this #1 with a gold star. Dude is throwing straight gasoline for 6 innings with movement all over. Last pitch 98 first 101. Crazy so far. Greedy side of me wants to see him swing in the lineup on Sundays but..

The matchup has been hyped already but LSU is 2nd in Ks, Tennessee is 1st.

Dollander / Skenes will be a quick game.

He has a chance to be better than Nola’s 2014 season

In 2014 Nola pitched to an 11–1 record with a 1.47 ERA, 27 walks, 134 strikeouts, and a .172 opponent batting average in 116+1/3 innings

He's up there until he blows out his elbow.

I will enjoy the ride while it lasts.

JJ's solution to defensive woes last year: get a bunch of power pitchers that just strike batters out like Skenes. Don't need an infield if nobody can contact the ball.

Hes going to get hit once in a while but still has elite stuff. He doesn't have a lot of movement on his FB, guys will catch up to it but he'll always be elite.

He has 18 inches of run on his fastball.. that is tons of movement for a fastball

Maybe. He also may be one of our GOATs but I will slow my roll until the SEC season gets here.

He good. He's really good. But I want to see him do it consistently in the SEC before he gets the crown. Butler was just straight overmatched. They weren't sniffing 100 mph, he didn't even need to throw anything else. That's not going to be the case in the SEC. He is going to have to mix pitches more. I'm not saying he can't, because he really hasn't had to do it yet.

I didn’t know the rant had this many scouts. That being said, Skenes has looked great so far!

The best pitchers I've seen in the last 20 yrs for the tigers are Nola and Ranaudo.

It just felt like you could scribble a W next to Friday when Nola was up there.

When Ranaudo was on it was incredible.

Skenes will be in the competition if he continues down this path.

If he could gain command of that change up he throws occasionally…we’re taking Cy Young award type upside

Skenes has a TRUE 100 mph fastball that runs a foot and a half.

But yes, Lange had a filthy breaking pitch

Don’t worry, Hurricane Mike or SMD will be in shortly to tell you that one player got a base hit off of Skenes a few games ago so therefore he’s nowhere close to being the top pitcher. Mainly because he plays for LSU.

Lmao. Y’all are some butt hurt hoes. Mad because I stated lsu hasn’t beat a team with a winning record. While y’all shite on the undefeated teams.

It's been awhile since I've seen a pitcher able to mow down batter after batter and never take a step back until he gets pulled. Dude has got to be part mac

I know it's early and I'm not a big fan of baseball in general. But I follow LSU very closely(season holder in LF since they were built in 96).

I don't recall an LSU pitcher with this particular combination of velocity and control. I'm probably wrong but it certainly feels that way in his first few games.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching countless batters swing at pitches that hit the dirt 2 feet in front of the plate.
