Was hoping to wake up and hear about an interim coach
Inexcusable handling of the pitching staff
When Dunn leaves in offseason and we’re stuck with Paul managing the staff it’s gonna be a long year

Blake Dean has basically been a 500 coach at UNO but a lot of that was through this and last nonexistent season due to COVID, the guys he coaches now are not the calibur kids LSU can bring in. Would he be good enough to take PM's spot next season? I went back and listened to Scone's interviewing him last month on his show before the LSU game. Basically said his kids were out of shape and terribly injured so he has no real players this year so I don't know how good he'd be if he had better facilities and structure that LSU has.

Disagree completely. The staff pitched terrific all weekend. Coleman shouldn’t have been the 4 inning closer...even with a big lead. THAT cost the team a sweep.

I know yesterday sucked but of all the things this team has done this season why would you think he would be fired after winning a road SEC series against a ranked team? CPM isn’t being fired in the middle of the season. I’m sorry to break it to you guys. I doubt he is fired at all from LSU but he may retire after this season.

Geez I guess that idea isn't taking off. That's all it was was food for thought. Yeah, they're going to probably fire him but it's going to be at the end of the year. Out of respect they're probably going to let him resign beforehand I guess.

Blake Dean is not going to happen. Quit trying to make it a thing. There are probably 5 other coaches in his conference LSU could easily get that would be a better choice than Dean.

Exactly. LSU needs to continue to pay for elite coaches. No disrespect to Dean but he isn't there yet. Let PM bow out gracefully but make sure we can line up the next coach. I would rather us not be forced into a hire.

Dunn believes pitchers can spot corners with perfection. They cannot

Way too many 0-2 counts that end up big pitch at bats with walks. Eats up pitch count and puts too many on.

Up 9-1 in 8th pound the zone eliminate the walk, outs will happen. Yes they hit some out. But the walks were on base (several, not all).

If he had pitchers that had the control he tries to achieve in pitch calling they would be in the pros already.

Biggest issue Dunn
Second biggest no hitting coach
Third biggest is PM, but he’s responsible or it all.

But we did bunt better ... so there is that

Dunn is a big part of the problem.

The kid had pitched three innings before the bottom fell out.
Yes, he was left in few batters too long, but it’s not as if we had any good options in the pen and that’s the problem. The next two pitchers didn’t do their jobs. You can’t count on any of them in SEC play.

The big picture is we have failed to recruit and develop pitchers.

And the opponents they face are of the same quality.

We need a new coach, not Blake Dean.

A change is needed after the season regardless of how they finish. This is no different than the Miles situation and sometimes a quality change is needed. Seems to be when they get around that 10 year mark.

PM's time to go has arrived...
