I just don't ever see this kid getting on the field as a QB. Does he have the athletic ability to play slot or something?

Yeah McMillain looks to be a pretty decent QB from what little he has played. But considering you have Etling next season and then Scott, Lowell, nad Brennen it just doesn't look favorable for him to see the field.

Sucks for him. Wishing him the best.

He ovariously thinks he can win the competition for the job. Either he's plenty talented enough or he's delusional. Time will tell.

No, can't think of a player he's better than at any other position...unless he can kick, don't know that, though...

Before he came to LSU he did say he had no problem waiting til his 5th year to play.

When has he played enough at LSU to make any judgement on his ability?

also Harris. But McMillan and Scott are both in the same situation. Doubt either is going to switch to another position. They will get their shot at the starters spot once Harris and Etling move on.

Don't throw stones, hear me out first. I really don't think Etling will be the QB next year. Guy doesn't have enough talent. If he was a great game manager maybe so. He did a fair job but does not have enough talent to waste a year on. He made his share of bone headed plays also. He lost 3 games with this bad arse defense. Etling was better than a poorly coached Harris but that's not saying much. If you guys didn't see the open guys he threw shite balls to in this game your not looking. He just doesn't have an SEC quality arm. The following year we would have to start a new guy.

at pencilling in Etling.

New OC/QB coach new system. All qbs will and should be at ground zero starting in spring practice. Open competition.

McMillan was the qb on a state championship 6A Texas high school football team. 37 TDs, 4INTs. I wouldnt count him out at all.

So, you're putting him (who hasn't played a single meaningful snap of college football) behind 2 kids who literally just finished playing high school ball, one of whom has had both knees surgically reconstructed?

Good to know.

A new oc is coming in so all the qbs have a chance. If he's good enough he better show it in spring. And no he can't pay any other positions. Hes small and slow

JM is 6'2" 205 with really good straight line speed. He won't be playing another position. I agree concerning spring competition.

There was a time when major colleges could have three or four capable QBs on the team. He has a valuable scholarship and he is on the roster of a team with great football history and potential.
Is that better than being a second string player for a podunk second tier college? I think it's great that he is still competing st the highest level. I'm not knocking your post, simply happy their are guys who fight for four years for their time.

It remains to be seen wether the "Camage" done to Harris and McMillan is reversible . If so the QB competition for the 2017 team could become very interesting indeed.

I for one would love to see what these young men might do now removed from the toxic offensive philosophy spewed by Miles and Cameron

With his physical gifts a well coached and confident Harris could be a difference maker
