Is a 1 point loss really that harmful?

Idk?

We're a year away. Enjoy the fact that the team is competitive.

I doubt we’ll fall out of the top 64 RPI. So yeah.

Bubble has burst and it’s likely we will never get close to it rest of year. Rebounding and lack of big bodies can’t be fixed with current roster

Not a knock, but they look more like a NIT team this year. Needs to get his players in his system.

Yes. We can’t close games out at home. We’ve lost 4 of our last 6 at home. If you want to stay encouraged, every one of those 4 was winnable. So, you’d think, with some more physical play we’d start winning some of these games late. Hopefully that depth comes with our recruiting.

Then again, we lucked out against Texas A&M. We could be 1-4 in conference play and on a very bad streak. It seems the experts’ preseason pick of us being last is starting to look less preposterous.

Plays like the failed dribble handoff and subsequent intentional foul by Mays, along with our inability to box out and rebound are killing this team’s chances at wins. At least we’re in every game, for now. Hopefully the close losses don’t cause the team to fold. That’s where wade has to earn his money.

I mean we pretty much need to get to 11-7 in conference now to have a good shot.

does the rant ever disappoint?

if Michigan, Houston, A&M, and Arkansas keep winning and LSU bounces back, we're going dancing. whether I think LSU actually is a tournament team is another debate, but the bubble has sucked the last few years.

10-8 should get LSU in with how strong the conference is. 11-7 100% gets LSU dancing.

I doubt we get there anyway. but I'm going to enjoy playing spoiler for now

They mentioned around halftime of the game that Lunardi was saying it was a must win for LSU at home.

I'm not even going to pretend I understand but he's usually on point

Meh it was a big game, but it hasn’t really decided much yet. Especially since we play them later in the year @ UGA...

LSU wasn’t a tourney team anyway. At no point has any objective viewer said LSU is a tourney team. A few more losses and they will be a NIT bubble team

Our projected RPI with a 10-8 conference record would be 59.2. That's pretty high.

Our projected RPI with an 11-7 conference record would be 50.1. Certainly not 100% in.

Sucks we aren't a part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge this season. A home game against a team like TCU or Texas Tech would be HUGE.

We'll be in the NIT, which is a good accomplishment considering where we were. He needs the right players to run his system, I agree we're probably a year away, but I'm still enjoying this.

LSU mens basketball is not a bubble team for the big dance.
