i agree 100%...RS will have his packages and lee and JJ will battle it out all offseason. i just hope miles has his mind made up at the end of spring. even though we all know he won't announce it

I agree. I think Lee could be a decent QB, he needs some pocket presence though because he's not gonna be that roll out guy.

Lee outplayed JJ to date in their careers, i know you have to agree with that

I guess if you're just looking at passes. bring in their running and I bet its alot closer. JJ has ran for one equaling TD's, and with his rushing yards its probably close in total yards too.

He also did this in front of a hostile Auburn crowd and JJ had the luxury of having his first SEC game experience at home in TS.

you can't look at JJ and say how he would have reacted if he was put through the same things Lee has

No, of course I can't. Because of where I live now, I had a lot of people asking what I thought when the RP issue went down before the season. I told every one of them that we were probably looking at a 9-3 season, so I hoped that they named Lee the starter to prepare him for next year (I was just never confortable with Hatch and figured Jefferson would redshirt). Had they been able to tell me that he would throw 15/7 picks, I'm not sure I would have had the same answer. I was as hopeful as anyone after the Auburn game, but his play has been worse throughout the year. That is why I am willing to wait and see what Jefferson does as he gains experience.

this week will tell alot to see how close JJ was to Lee in their first full game as "THE GUY"

albeit different curcumstances, it will be a decent indicator of how they "stack up"

i think MSU has a better D and their was more hinging on that game at the time than this one, and this is a road start for JJ but still and all...if he as a day similar to what Lee had against Arkansas things would pull closer to "even" IMO

well most of us are, but my point is you cannot compare Lee and JJ by lookin at Lee throughout the season and fighting through all the criticism and booes and drops and bad breaks to what JJ does in a pressureless situation as the backup qb

all you can do now (if you want to compare) is compare what they have done equally

You know what I like about this thread. Whenever there is somewhat of an intelligent argument going on or if there's numbers and realistic situations thrown into the mix, you don't see all these guys that have been starting threads about "the death of LSU football that began in '08. " or your resident "Fire Les Miles" posters in the middle of things.

It's a shame these guys can't add their two cents into these conversations. Instead they'll stick with their normal bullshite posts without any substance or reasons as to why they think what they do.

jefferson almost had a pick 6 against ole miss because of play calling.

are you forgetting the pass that was dropped by the ole miss DB going the other way for a pick 6 from lee?

what do we really expect from Garrett? Does this guy ever get past 2nd string maybe? And does Hatch ever play a substantial role? I wouldn't be surprised if Hatch was asked to go back to walk-on status. Could that even be considered?

4444, I get your point. I just think it is rediculous to draw a comparison on talent level after 20-something passes.

Numbers don't lie, in their 1st SEC game, Jarrett Lee outplayed Jordan Jefferson, and looked fearless doing it. In the "first conference game" argument, J-Lee reigns superior.

J lee also had a whole YEAR of learning the offense.

jefferson was thrown out there after a couple months.
