Is it possible for Alleva to be unaware of how pervasively he is disliked?

Honestly, I know of NO ONE who likes him and thinks he is deserving of the LSU AD position.

He is at the very bottom of the SEC as far as AD’s go. Can’t think of too many ADs worse than him

Like it or not (pun intended) AD's job is not to be "liked" by fans. Nor should he care if he is. This is a job, not a popularity contest.
Not saying he is doing his job well or not.... but being liked matters not.

Part of his job and why he gets paid so well is to fall on the sword for his superiors. Some of the decisions that you hate him for where not his decisions at all. They were above his pay grade. I’ve been following LSU sports since Joe Dean and don’t remember 1 AD being well liked. Some are just hated less than others. Part of the job.

All atheletic directors are disliked regardless of their job performance, so sure, he knows it. He also knows that is what he signed up for.

I’ve said it many times. The guy is a complete misfit for any and all aspects of the LSU brand, experience, and culture. We don’t have to have someone who was LSU born and bred - but Alleva is about the worst they could have found. Not to mention the scandal he had just presided over.

Again, maybe all 20 of you can do a formal protest..if u can get 20. ADs are judged by results, not minority approval. In not a fan but his results are better than at least 10 other sec schools.

That’s true to an extent. But a big part of an ADs job is appearing at fund raising events and if enough donors don’t like him, donations will slip
