You just have to laugh it off.

It's alot like it was after Trump won. Lots of melting and sky screaming. They will get bored eventually.

Yes and no

Season or off season, its still insufferable

Once we hit the heart of baseball, basketball, gymnastics and softball we will see a much more tolerable rant for a little bit

It’s baseball season. Time to see bitching and whining about that.

Many of us love football and still have testicles. That makes us men. We don't have a vagina like you do.

You are 100% correct. You have to understand that on this board you are conversing with various posers who are not LSU fans, oddballs, kids in junior high and high school, fans who have a limited knowledge of football and life in general, and fans whose knowledge of LSU history spans about 12 to 15 years.
Some of these young ones can't remember Gerry Dinardo much less Jerry Stovall, Mike Archer, Bill Arnsparger, Curley Hallman, or Cholly Mac.
My 1st LSU game was when I was 5 in 1961. I remember Joe Labruzzo and 7-3 LSU knocking off undefeated Arkansas in the 1966 Cotton Bowl when I was 10. I watched it on New Year's Day in my hometown of Bogalusa on a black and white Motorola. I drank half a beer when the game was over. LSU cost Arkansas the National Championship and it was great. I remember when LSU and Bert Jones kicked Notre Dames arse 28-8, when LSU was robbed vs. USC in Tiger Stadium and thst was a great game. How about Brad Davis vs Ole Miss? When Davis scored the place went ape- shite crazy. Rusty Jackson kicked the extra point with no time left to win 17-16.

I remember when David Woodley dazzled Florida in Tiger Stadium. I remember when Steve Ensminger had a great game against Ole Miss in Jackson. The Advocate headlines the next day read "Steve E Wonder" and he was. How about Bo Rein being hired and the saddness of his death. I remember going to play Rice in Houston every 3rd or 4th year and how much fun those trips were. There was Sammy Martin, Mickey Guidry and Michael Brooks kicking A&M'ass when A&M thought they were going to win tge NC and came in ranked #4. I will never forget Jackie Sherrill's face on the sidelines. Hillarious.

Alan Risher to Eric Martin to open the 2nd half against Florida State. The Oranges covered the field. A referee was hit by an orange and it knocked his cap off. Tiger Stadium smelled like a glass of Tropicana.

So many more memories and good times. I don't let these sour so called fans bother me because the vast majority of them don't have those memories to draw on or the depth and perspective it gives you.

This is just a message board infested with fake fans, very young fans, and true nitwits. Don't let them rob you of your enjoyment. Blow those people off and get your own memories. Arguing with goofballs on message boards is not a sports memory. It is simply a waste of time. Have a good day buddy.

If it's so insufferable, then why subject yourself to the inhumanity of it all?

Just stay away from here if you think it's that bad.

But of course, but you wont do that because you're one of the resident "Gluttons for Punishment."

You and your ilk all like whining about anything and everything you read on here that doesn't agree with your own personal viewpoint.

This ...

had an uncle that lived in Pine Bluff who had taken one of the "Tiger in your tank" Esso gas station give away tiger tails and had it hanging out of a plastic razorback hog head. His plan was to send it to my dad after the Hogs beat the Tigers...the rest is history.

That's a ton of typing to simply call people names because you disagree with their stance on the direction of the current LSU football program.

Start that rant at the spring of 1982 and I'm 12 and I'm right there with you...except I happen to think that what we've done to ourselves with this coaching hire and what he has done thus far and continues to do is sending us back to the days when we all HOPED to be better than what we were. That doesn't mean I did not love being a fan then...loving it when our Tigers jumped into the conversation for a bit...seeing them potentially climb into the Top 15 in my weekly SI magazine, etc. Those were incredible times and being a fan THEN was assuredly different. We were fans for reasons OTHER THAN just winning. and I agree, there are some in our fan base, and most of them are younger which is not their fault at all, whose reasons for being an LSU fan revolve almost entirely on pulling for a winner because it's literally all they've known.

But which do you rather? Pining away hoping to one day reach that elite status we envied in Notre Dame, or Nebraska, or Oklahoma, or Alabama, etc or being in that group ourselves? Everything in our program changed that night of January 4th 2004. It was no longer a dream...we'd made it. I remember standing there in the terrace in tears thinking about how my Dad had died a year before and missed it...thinking of all those games and times we'd talked about one day getting to that point. Of being in the Dome with him years before getting beaten by Nebraska...again.

And do you remember what Saban said when asked shortly after on the sidelines what he was going to do next? I'm paraphrasing but it was essentially, "Start working to do it again next year."

You may disagree...but for most of us that's literally all we're trying to do. Stay here. Getting here was hard. All those years you described, while great in their own ways, were not comparable to ACTUALLY being part of the elite and you know it. So for many of us, even those of us with time frames longer than many of the kids you seem to be describing, the goal is to remain in contention and there are good reasons to be worrying aloud that the moves we've made over the past year are reversing our course back to those days where you needed to search for silver linings in order to find wonderful things to love about the program. Oh...should the day come that we fall back entirely to the pack and we're forced to do that again, I'll do the same and find my silver linings. I'm an LSU fan...it's how I got started with this.

In the meantime, though, I'm going to fight like hell to stop the slide I think we've hopped onto, regardless of how much you r others attempt to pretend the only people sending up warning flares are either children or malcontents. Like you've I've earned the right to voice my concerns over many slim years of being a fan.

I remember all those as well as some heartaches. They go hand in hand with athletic contests. I remember before I got tickets looking forward to Saturday Nights after doing the lawn. Fire up the grill, have a couple brews and listening to JC Politz a couple of years then John Ferguson, one of the most recognizable voices on the air. You're right. The millenials and their entitlements make me sick. They have no idea about the inter-workings of football and the administrations wishes. It's as if they think they can do a better job or have fresh ideas. Most posters are nothing more than magpies harping on what they've heard. Look at the number of new members crowing about whichever bandwagon they've joined. Nothing new here at all !
