Minnesota needs to lose another game before they play OSU in Big10 CG. At 10-2, Minnesota would not be in top 15 when they play OSU in Big 10 CG.

WTF are you whining about? No one says if you win you will never drop. I've followed college football for 50 years, and some teams that win have always dropped. Alabama won and dropped behind LSU. Where was your outrage then?

If LSU goes undefeated, we will have beaten 5 Top ten teams at the time we played them. Two on the road and one at a neutral site.

We would be #1

I don't give a shite, but at this point, I kinda hope we get to #2.

That way, we can beat Clemson's arse and then we can beat Ohio State's arse, not leaving anyone out of the picture and would complete an absolute epic run of a season.

No dummy. He's just setting up for if LSU beats Georgia when he says LSU should be #1. Because of his current position, he is inoculated against the SEC bias charge.

Setting this up to put OSU/LSU in the 1st playoff game. Then possibly a Bama/LSU rematch in the championship. Ratings gold mines!

That would put PSU in the Big 10 title game and open the door for 2 Big 10 teams if they both win out afterwards. Would put LSU and Ohio State matching up with Clemson getting PSU. Its forcasting snow in Columbus last I checked which means it might be a lower scoring game which could favor PSU.

That argument has some legs. Penn State is top 10. I think it may be short lived if LSU beats aTm convincingly and takes care of UGa. Beating UGa would add a potential Top 5 win to our resume. No one could really match that if we are 13-0.

I agree to point. Getting in the top 4 is of utmost importance. Being number 1 though let’s you drive the decision as to where you want to play the your playoff game. Depending on opponent you can choose between Glendale or Atlanta.

When all the dust settles, LSU should have wins over:

Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
Texas
Texas A&M

No one can match that.

That's a strong list. Wow. Compare that to Ohio State's projected big wins:

Cincinnati
Wisconsin
Penn State
Michigan
Minnesota

Still riding the Texas win but wont list Michigan State as a big win for Ohio State. Why not? Both teams were ranked when they played and both teams are trash now. Indiana is probably gonna be higher than Texas.

Really don’t care right now.

We are very good and I think most teams are skirred to play us, not the other way around

What if they squeak out a win when they finally play a team half decent. Not that Penn State is fricking half decent.

Not that Michigan is half decent. But neither at Rutgers who is 120+ in scoring offense and defense.

FWIW #1 seed has never won the CFP.

They are 0-3 in the championship game.

Winners by Seed:
4
2
2
4
2

If Ohio State beats Penn State in a close game like most of their recent games, Finebaum is wrong.

He has a chance to be right if OSU covers the spread and beat PSU as bad as they did Wisconsin. Otherwise LSU's resume is still better than the Buckeye's this week.
