Is Derrick Henry everything Fournette was supposed to be?

Love LF7 but it seems his career at LSU never took off outside of a handful of games where he showed unbelievable flashes of brilliance. His NFL career has been littered with injuries never allowing him, again, to take off. Now he’s on a one year contract still sidelined while Henry has embodied everything we thought LF7 would be. Freakish size, speed, vision...all in one package.

I watch Henry play and wonder what could’ve been. Still rooting for you LF7. Time to break out!

Lol what the hell is this blasphemy. Say what you want about nfl Fournette but LSU Fournette was a super human. I still think if given the right situation he can become what we expect him to be.

In terms of rush yards per game. Henry had more yardage due to having 2 more games

To be fair, there were games where Miles only threw the ball like 12 times.

He averaged 6.5 per carry tho

At the time I think was in the top 3 in SEC for any RB with 200 carries or something. Forget the exact stat

Just imagine if Fournette was on a team where he wasn’t the entire offense. That’s what hurts him is he’s always on a team who’s offense revolves around him, until now with the Bucs

Well he had better hurry up. His shelf life as a NFL RB is quickly moving toward its end date.

I think just his overall size and athleticism hid some deficiencies in college, that he has never quite developed in the NFL. I definitely think going to Jacksonville hurt him as well.

The truth is that no running back picked that early in the draft will succeed nowadays unless they walk into a roster like the one Zeke walked to. Fournette was set up for failure from day one as a Jaguar.

The mileage Just caught up with him. He carried the ball damn near every play in high school and college. Then took a beating in Jacksonville having decent numbers until he just couldn’t do it consistently. It was fun watching him run for us.

He has the 2nd most rushing yards in a single season in SEC history and that was with a game cancelled that year. Also has the LSU record for single season rushing TDs

He had 104 less yards from scrimmage than Henry in 3 less games

There are so many factors in it a given player is successful in the NFL. Where you land, injuries(which he has struggled with), if you continue to have the same work ethic now that you’re paid, etc etc. I can’t stand when people belittle someone’s college career based off of their production in the pros. The college career stands alone.

Also Fournette was an absolute monster at LSU, I have no idea what you’re talking about, he was our entire offense.
