Yes. I'm pretty sure that Donald and his brother Gerald (state senator) are Huey Long's cousins.

i recently studied my mothers family tree and learned that her mother was closely related to huey long's mother. naturally the long family appeared a lot in my study. the long family clan was one of the big one's in that part of louisiana (and still is). i would bet money that don long was a member of that long clan. i use the word clan accurately. there was a migration of family's from the carolina's and georgia across the deep south with some elements stopping in every state and ending in texas. this started in the late 1700's and early 1800's.
