Is Cheering Wrong?

We are both LSU graduates, our children have been raised on LSU football, but we live in North Carolina and our children attend UNC. They went to yesterday’s game against NC State and as they cheered their team, a fellow student asked them stop because they might disturb UNC’s offense. Needless to say, they were aghast knowing good and well that cheering is one of the Tiger fan’s many ways of supporting our team (and frustrating its opponents). Of course, we were proud but we’d love to hear your thoughts. Please don't be too harsh of UNC or ACC football.

If your team is on offense you generally don't want to cheer until the play happens. You don't want your own fans disrupting the offense.

Cheering is always wrong. You could learn much from the refined UNC campus and fan base.

Yes, when our defense is on the field. Hence frustrating the opponents on offense

In tight games when we're on defense I can hear the person next to me. Then when our offense comes out I can hear peanuts cracking 10 rows up. It gets awkwardly quiet.

i always cheer for the team that i want to lose bc it minds fricks them
