Is Burrow the next M. Canada?

Last year at this time it was the hiring of M. Canada. The best OC in the country was going to turn around our offense and take us to the playoff.
When I asked what data we were using as proof to his guaranteed success, the only answers I got was "at least he is better than Les Miles".
Well here we are again. I truly hope Burrow is as good as most think. But again. What data are we using? The fact that he was a career backup? Third string last year.
Check out his stats. I'm not saying that he won't be great one day. I'm only asking what information does everyone seem to have that says he will be an instant starter and savior?
2016
Bowling Green - 6/8 68y 1TD in 77-10 win = 4/19 rushing
Tulsa - No passes in 48-3 win = 1/10 rushing
Rutgers - 4/5 21y in 58-0 win = 4/21 rushing
Nebraska - 6/6 62y in 62-3 win = 2/13 rushing 1TD
Maryland - 6/9 75y 1TD in 62-3 win = 1/-5 rushing
2017
UNLV - 4/4 37y in 54-21 win
Rutgers - 2/2 20y in 56-0 win
Nebraska - 1/3 4y in 56-14 win = 2/5 rushing
Illinois - 0/2 0y in 52/14 win = 1/-10 rushing

Burrow actually plays on the field.
Please don't compare him to that gimmick window dressing offense last year

Honestly, it’s a valid question.
I don’t think he is, but if he does turn out to be nothing but more smoke and mirrors without any substance, there will be a new HC in Baton Rouge very soon.

He’s talking about just the big signing that didn’t live up to the hype.
Burrow and this offense will decide O’s fate. And honestly it’s the way it should be.
This would be strike 2 if it doesn’t work out. O doesn’t deserve a third shot.

I go by on how much Ohio St players and fan base talks about him. Go watch the last qtr and 3 mins against Maryland in 2016. He’s the real deal.

People are happy about a LSU QB for once.
If he wins the job its good in that it means he was very much needed to bridge the young QB's.
If he doesn't win the job perhaps it will mean one of the young QB's finally stepped up.
If your a more half empty type all of our QB's are poor and it won't matter who starts.

At worst Burrow adds depth.
Canada’s offense actually produced less than Cam Cameron’s. This isn’t a fair comparison.

All those stats you stated, look at the completion percentage. Pretty good if you ask me!

Just when I thought no one would turn a positive into a negative ...

Comp. % is great. But they were put up in the 4th when the def. was done and the game was a blowout.
This is not about the coaches at all. Its about the super hype he is receiving (just like Canada) when he is yet to produce anything. Good luck to the kid. I hope he is better than you are all predicting.
The question is still there tho.
What real data are you basing this off of?

LSU fans were couldn't talk enough about J. Jefferson after the Arkansas comeback.
Again, we had not true data.
