State going to Omaha for its 3rd straight year. PM has equaled that in the last 11 years

Not that state will get their first team championship.

Alex Box is way behind with an atmosphere to match. It’s really unbelievable how much worse it got compared to the old Box.

The rest of the conference had caught up to us and then some lapped us twice.

But Skip opened a big arse magic baseball containing the atmosphere from AB1. The project was done on the cheap and didn’t include any room built in for expansions.

I completely agree that the box is a joke compared to the very best these days but Pawl isn’t going to Omaha because his staff sucks and he’s been sitting on 1.2 a year to not do anything due to physical ailments

Missouri is the worst. Tennessee is down there. Tennessee is about to get a huge investment. Kentucky, Florida, and State are brand new. Bama, A&M, Vandy, Ole Miss have recent renos. UGA and Auburn are pretty small and dated. USC and Arky have nice huge stadiums that were once the standard but have maintained top tier status.

I was just reminding a baw about this joke of a scene lmao

So much cringe. I bet a few players Nolan Cain tirelessly recruited couldn’t even hit it

Yup. LSU needs about a $25m renovation to get back up there. Winning alone won’t cure everything.

My point is that the facilities help get the best talent, they keep the fans in attendance, and they keep the money flowing. State can offer things to fans and players no one else has.

And you wonder why players like Jack Walker are headed to Starkville. Elite program with terrific fan support in the best facilities in the country.

Need to show the new coach that Tiger BB is not taking a back seat to anyone & drop $25-$30 million for upgrading & enlarging ABS.

I remember walking into the new Box for the first time and thinking “this is what all the fuss is about?” It was nice, but just incredibly sterile and boring. Still is.

You see the party type atmosphere in the outfield bleachers at places like Ole Miss, Arkansas and MSU and it frustrates you because you know LSU fans can match (maybe exceed) that atmosphere…if the infrastructure was in place to do so

All of this and the boomers who think LSU doesn’t need this need to sit back down.

Be careful what you wish for. The next renovation will be 10 more luxury suites and a giant billboard for adspace in the outfield.

We all should have learned by now that the athletic department doesn't give a shite about atmosphere or fan experience. Luxury boxes bring in exponentially more money than seating that draws fans that produce that atmosphere. That's all they care about.

The university would be perfectly satisfied with a dead stadium as long as corporate entities are still selling out the suites.

Suites should’ve gone all the way down the line to begin with.

State looks nothing like this. No reason we can’t learn from the work of others. We should have with Arky who has one of the oldest yet most modern and comfortable stadiums in the country.

Yep When you push that button in the Hall of Fame to hear the crowd that day, listen closely you can hear me.

As for the athletes and coaches, LSU facilities are as good as anyone’s. Fans create the atmosphere. I blame the fans not going more than anything.
