He is leading the team in RBI and has zero hits.

Goes to prove that you can still have a quality at bat without a hit.

He's done everything he has needed to do. He's also smoked a few that just went right at someone or gotten robbed. Dugas might overtake his spot at 2B but he should be a regular at 3B until Tanks gets back and will be an excellent situational/pinch hitter for us.

Hard to say after one weekend of games but one lineup scenario may be Tanks to 3B; Nippolt to 2B; Dugas to LF and a RF platoon of Pearson Kling and Jobert.

It seemed each time he was up to the plate with a runner on third he successfully made contact to the right side of the infield to score the runner.

Is also shows how good we’ve been at getting guys to 3rd with 0-1 outs in the back half of the lineup.

Dugas to LF

This is where I thought would be the most likely slot for him.

I brought up Nippolt's opening weekend in another thread.

Nippolt was a great example this weekend of what Jay calls "professional" at bats.

Kid had some really bad baseball fortune with not a single one of his well hit balls finding grass.

It was pleased with pretty much every single player this weekend. Great start

I don’t think this will happen. I think Dugas knocks Jobert out of the lineup and ends up back in LF if/when Tanks comes back. Especially if he stays hot.

If the goal is to get the maximum output offensively without sacrificing too much on defense, it makes sense that Tanks, Nippolt, Jones, and Dugas are all in the same lineup. That’s the only way to make that happen.

Wouldn't shock me. I think both Pearson and/or Joubert need to hit to remain in the line up.

He crushed the ball all weekend, just couldn't get anything to fall. He will be one of most consistent hitters all year.

Just wait. He will get a nip slip and it will be worth extra bases.

Speaking of zero hits I didn’t even notice Tre went hitless this weekend until looking at the stats right now. I expect it was just an off weekend but that shocked me.

He seemed to press a bit after getting off to a slow start. Really want to see him get a hit or two today to relieve that pressure.

I wish the coaches would stop putting the “take” sign on him.
