My wife told me a story about a group of doctors that had a suite, Taf came to them for renewal and said they’d need to donate 100k to keep it or it was going to another company. They came up with the money, but still ended up giving to the other company because they must have paid more.

Agreed. I have been predicting the demise of college sports for a long time - particularly football, which is a violent sport suited for a pioneering nation, not for what America has become.
