Anybody know what the deal was with the infield players swapping positions a few times in the game? On at least one play White caught a popup playing SS while Thompson was at 2nd and Dugas at 3rd.

Can’t remember ever seeing anything like it.

Trying to get Thompson where they will most likely hit it.

Now not sure why cause you know, Thompson, but that’s it.

Dugas has the range of a sloth and they’re trying to cover it up.

They are trying to put our worst infielder at the position the ball is least likely to go. Says a lot about Dugas that White is at SS over him. He's just not right with that shoulder.

We have a guy in the infield who had no range and can't throw, so we're trying to hide him at all costs.

It's not ideal at all and it does worry me a little bit against a team that plays even smaller ball than Oregon St. That and Travinski catching.

Like I know we can't take Hayden or Beloso out the lineup, so we have to roll with it, but frick man, Kentucky takes bases and we give bases away.

Because Thompson can get to everything in his area code and the rest of our infield needs it hit right at them to have a chance.

We went all in on offense, and I’m not mad about it, but that means we have to get creative on defense.

Analytics have nothing to do with these shifts other than the numbers that say Dugas should not touch a baseball.
