He found a QB - finally someone has!

He found an elite kicker - scholly seems worth it now.

He’s built quality elite SEC lines.

He brought in quality oline and ST coaches.

......maybe Coach E really is along those lines as well.

Wasn’t a fan of the hire, but the man is down right earning his respect.

I don’t think O and this coaching staff gets enough credit for being able to make adjustments. It’s clear they made adjustments to the offensive line after last weeks game. Defense was able to get critical stops and turnovers.

He’s been very adept at making adjustment and changing the momentum when things seem headed in the wrong direction.

Now the big question - will they take the positive momentum and roll it into more victories in the next three weeks?

Cole Tracy alone has saved his job for at least a year.

Offensive line played much better. Let’s see some consistency moving forward.

Lots of football left to play so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Great place to be 3 games in though.

To OP, the jury is still out on a lot of the coaching hires, but getting Burrow and Tracy were unequivocally critical signings for this team.

They took us from middle of the pack defense dependent to a complete team overnight. Anyone that ever doubted the impact that either of those two signings would have just weren’t being open minded.

Flynn was better, Mett was good, Burrow has a ways to go to get to Mett level but he has shown poise so far

Actually he is ahead of Mett. Hell he just went through fall practice, inserted as a starter, and led us to victories over two top ten teams, away from Baton Rouge. He has not been spectacular, yet. Just wait until this team realizes what they can do.

Things that I like that O has done:

• Brought in Cole Tracy to address an obvious need for a dependable field goal kicker
• I strategically like that LSU has a kick off specialist that kicks the ball out of the end zone. I hated that Les always pooched it down by the goal line and made us defend. Take the certain outcome and make em start at the 20 as much as you can
• Joe Burreaux - we needed a guy like this at the helm and didn’t have one in the other QBs or they weren’t ready to fill this kind of role. At times, Joe is spot on accurate. Other times not, but so far he makes solid decisions, is a gamer and manages the team/game/situations well.
• Focus on the lines on both sides of the ball. I thought this deteriorated near the end of Les’s tenure. The quality and depth on both sides of the ball has improved and it is noticeable.

Agreed, compare Burrow’s first three starts to Mett’s, and that was after Mett sat for a year in 2011.

Mett had a stronger arm, obviously, but Burrow is better in virtually every other aspect of the QB position, although he was about as equally cool under pressure.

Burrow’s drive and leadership is on a different level, not to mention his mobility and pocket awareness.

I agree with everything except the E hire. However I admit it is entirely possible E is making the best of the restraints O has put on him.

Simple as this. There are still things to improve on but we'll leave that for another week to discuss.

Also need to add that O added someone to kickoff out of the endzone, who's a good athlete as well.

Everybody forgets that Mett had Juice and OBJ along with a great run game that everybody had to stack up to even slow down. I don’t see Joe gift wrapping a game with 3 ints either.

Etling doesn't get enough love. Protected the ball well and had a higher completion percentage.
