As far as elaborating on the “many other things we take for granted,” another poster mentioned one: general ongoing excellence in baseball. Another is the unique and wonderful tailgating experience before football games.

For just being a Tiger fan and the peaks & valleys it brings. Owe it to my brother who influenced my Love of sports as young as I can remember, in particular, LSU!!!

Another one I forgot: unselfish attitude of Devin White, willing to play a less glamorous position, but clearly helping the team where most needed. In the long run, he has done himself a favor because he will be a beast in the NFL (if the league doesn’t self implode in the meantime).

They give us something tangible that we can chase and strive to be better than, and every two years they help make up the most spectacular scene in college football at tiger stadium. Trust me, I’ll be a lot more thankful when we beat them but you have to respect and admire your opponent to be a true fan of the game and there’s definitely no opponent I respect or admire more. I’m thankful for the opportunity to play the best every year.
