So if someone in the stands says “You’re a bum!” a player should be allowed to climb into the stands and begin physically beating that person?

Why are you acting like you know the guy didn't say anything shitty about him?

So what if he did?

Your mother’s ugly.

Do you think you should have a right to “beat my arse?”

You don’t and you never will. Why? Because we’re not fricking cave men. Well, some of us are, and that’s why we have laws.

I don't think it's legal to assault someone just because they called you a mean word. I'm not a lawyer though.

No they shouldn't and aren't allowed to. But, depending on what the guy said, I might not lose any sleep over it, honestly.

I’ll cut him some slack... dude hasn’t had a legit QB since bantam league football.. gotta be weighing on him heavily

I’m sure he’ll claim racism in the end though...

Verbal threats, verbal abuse, verbal assault..whatever you want to call it, is most often a precursor to a physical altercation. That's in any social setting.

Some people believe it's normal or acceptable to do it at a sporting event. I would say most of those people do it because they believe there will be no consequences and that's the problem imo.

Was just suspended for trying to beat somebody else's arse

I love Leonard but he needs to be more professional, his second contract is already under threat bc of durability issues.

Needs to happen more often.

Yeah, but since he was just suspended for coming off of the sideline to fight an opposing player, he needs to ignore it and lay low. He's making it look like he has some character and maturity issues even though I think he's a good guy overall.

Yeah I wont argue about any of this. He clearly is frustrated with everything going on and needs to keep his cool. I was only making a general statement about fans who take things too far knowing there will be no recourse.

good grief, man, hecklers exist in every sport in every country in the world.

Personally, I think it's classless to heckle, but hecklers exist, and players just need to ignore it. The fact that Fournette wanted to go after the guy is very embarrassing.
to the downvoting tards who apparently think it's appropriate for a player to go after heckling fans, just ask yourself:

would you be defending Fournette as much if his name was Derrick Henry??? Or would you be blasting the guy for not being able to control his emotions???

Yes I would. I see fans in every sport acting like they can say and do whatever the hell they want because they're fans and it's bothered me for years.

He is so frustrated because he is an injury machine. He will never be who we all hope he will be because you can't become legendary sitting on the sideline watching Yeldon play.

this is true and I only hope he does not lose the mental aspect of his game. It seems the pressure seing Henry run all over got to him. He needs to keep his cool and focus every play.

If you are a well disciplined athlete you must block out the noise around you. Unless someone is throwing batteries upon you or jumping onto the playing field to acost you, you have to maintain composure.

I cannot imagine LF hasn’t heard worse insults from his opponents. Once you let people live in your head, then you are less effective.

LF has to grow and seek wise counsel.
