I’m tired of LSU being so incompetent in PR

Whoever’s job it is to drive LSU’s narrative in the media is terrible at their job. This Fulton stuff is just the latest example of how inept they are.
I remember the Bama db that wanted to transfer to uga and was blocked by Bama. Uga did an excellent job pushing how unfair that was in the media. LSU should be pushing how savion smith playing for Bama this year after failing the test Fulton passed is a joke.
However, once again (UF situation) LSU is left making statements after they get screwed over and not being aggressive on getting ahead of the narrative.
We’ll never be back until the whole program gets its act together

Scorched Earth would be a good way to go now. It’s time to take off the gloves.

For some reason we are scared to do this. Just release another statement about being “disappointed”. I’m sick of this garbage

Why are we blaming our players issues on the AD?
Posted on 8/10/18 at 7:58 am to PT24-7
They had all their people busy posting sunshine on this board.

Say what you will about culotta ans t Bob, but they suggested Ryan Clark, russillo, Shaq, booger, etc. going scorched earth and bringing this to the top

Our players had nothing to do with us being embarrassed in the UF fiasco. Also a 2 yr suspension while all the other stuff around the country gets swept under the rug is unacceptable

We aren’t. We are pointing out that LSU does a VERY poor job of advocating its own interests with Aleva at the helm. This is just exhibit 50.

The problem is the punishment for what Fulton did was 2 years. They were appealing to have that punishment lessened. How upset can you really be that they just upheld the punishment that goes with said crime.
I’m not saying the punishment is right but it is the punishment and Fulton knew the risk when he did what he did.

They keep falling on their faces. Makes you think if the right people are running our program, huh?

In complete honesty, what does Joe Alleva have to lose?
Posted on 8/10/18 at 8:06 am to PT24-7
They had Dellenger write an article about it for SI but it didn’t get any traction outside of Baton Rouge because the case just simply isn’t very strong.
ETA: Not that I disagree with the general point because they are indeed awful, especially Alleva. I just don’t think this is a very good example.

This type thinking is why we’re in the situation we’re in. Things aren’t always what they are, it’s what they appear to be. Everyone twist the narrative. We just say “oh well” and accept our fate.
If that’s what you want that’s fine but college football is a dirty business and we’ll never compete nationally without getting dirty

So player lies and it’s the AD and coaches fault?

Does it really surprise you?
We have a pussy PC University President and the most incompetent AD in the entire country.

I actually think dragging a former players name through the dirt would be a sleazy arse thing to do and would be horrible PR.

Some people and organizations are better advocates for their own interests than others. Some are patsys. It’s why the term “ patsy “ exists to describe weak people who roll over on demand. We have seen this EVERY SINGLE SEASON under Aleeva. Game cancellations, postponements, rescheduled games, lost games, first team in modern SEC history to play five SEC road games, lost appeals , etc. We have WEAK leadership . No swag. We have a bureaucratic paper- shuffler running the program. His demeanor ensures we get the rubber stamp. And anytime we have a body that makes a decision concerning LSU, we know we will get bent over.

In this particular situation, Alleva has no blame when it comes to the actions and decisions on the NCAA.
Where he is to blame is the lack of a nut sack to buck up to the NCAA and point out the hypocrisy of it all. To take a stand for the program he is responsible for. It seems he is always reactive when it comes to PR rather than proactive.
