I'm going to withhold judgements on both of the QB's...

...because it's pretty obvious to me that neither one is getting coached worth a damn.

Everything about this season is so much like 1999 it's not even funny. And in 1999, just like this year, your head coach who essentially was a line coach and had never been a coordinator or had ever won prior to being at LSU went out and hired an offensive coordinator who'd never called plays or coached quarterbacks before.

And just like 1999, the QB play regressed as the season went along because the kids lost confidence in both the coaching and the scheme (for good reason).

Unlike 1999, we aren't using an interim head coach. Which means we don't get that big performance at the end of the season where the kids get to celebrate not having the loser head coach bearing down on them (and a whole bunch of the "injured" players coming back and playing like madmen).

After 1999 we had a competent head coach, a decent scheme and a pretty good OC/QB's coach, and the same kids who weren't any good at QB suddenly were all right at the position.

Something tells me that's how this is going to go.

I have seen what I need for Max. He has reached his ceiling. Good but not elite.

Nuss is still up in the air, but he doesn't seem very accurate. It was his first game, so still need to see more.

Neither provides a good answer for an LSU team. If you're not blind, it's pretty obvious.

Walker Howard has to be licking his lips...

This is what I’ve been saying. People are judging both QBs based off of their play without recognizing they have been put in a situation to fail.

“Peetz isn’t the one holding on to the ball”

He’s the one calling the plays and it’s clear he has no idea how to string plays together to form an actual scheme.

When Saban came in and took over he brought guys with him who could not only recruit but also develop what was already there.

I guarantee that if Jimbo, or Riley, or Napier, or any coach with an idea on how to run an offense started coaching us tomorrow we would see an immediate improvement in scheme, player selection per formation, QBs play, and motivation. This would result in a better statistical performance and more points.

Agree entirely, however i believe LSU needs a QB transfer who is ready to play college ball next year! Just in case- and dont give me H Walker as true fresh

It’s Walker Howard, not Howard Walker. If you don’t know the kid’s name, how can you possibly know whether he can play as a freshman?
