Will Wade is the best coach in the SEC. If we win the SEC this year with basically five guys in our rotation. Imagine what we are going to do with depth like a Duke or Kentucky.

Just wait guys this basketball Program is going to be more special then we ever thought. Just have to pay Will Wade some money and upgrade our basketball facilities

Pearl is definitely up there with Wade but Cal is an underachieving bum

Cal is all recruiting and no coaching. He has wasted more talent than anyone in the history of college basketball.

Will is a great coach and an incredible recruiter. However he is an average to slightly above average in game coach. Downvote away but watch our games for the proof. He’s not great at making adjustments.

Joe Aleva crippled his recruiting class last year. He is the best coach in the nation.

Wade is much younger than both of those, and it took Bruce Pearl almost five years to make Auburn a tournament team. Wade inherited LSU's worst SEC record in 60 years and instantly had us winning games.

Bruce has a better resume, yes, but it's an unfair comparison.

What I'm really saying is that Will da da Goat Wade is going to be the greatest of all time.

Last years team was better.

This years team is over achieving without a true point. Watford could really dominate down low but he spends a lot of time away from the basket. Watford is one and done.

Next years team looks like a lot of talent coming to Baton Rouge. Feels like when we got Emmit Naz and others.

This years team could win out and get beat first round of NCAA or make it to sweet 16. Something is missing and I think it's a true point.

Last year's team was absolutely better, but college basketball has the most equal playing field it's ever had. LSU could go to the Elite 8 or bounced in the first round, but I have to say I will be happy with any outcome.

the fact we're in even the discussion after last season's departures and scandals speaks to how much of a badass our pear-shaped leader is.

We don't have a true point guard and a center. If we had those 2 extra guys this year with the team we have now, we would be a hard out anytime. However, they can get it done but have to play together and not turn the ball over

Definitely a good coach but I wish he would had developed the bench earlier in the year. That may come to bite us down the stretch.

I have to wonder if Will Wade will bolt because his efforts do not match the support of the fans and students. Every coach wants to feel appreciated. The fan support and atmosphere at the PMAC is pitiful.

I don’t know about that. He’s made the Final Four 4 times since 2011. Mike Krzyzewski and Duke have 1 Final Four appearance since 2011.

Cal does less with more pure talent than anyone

He should be in the final 4 every year with his nba starting 5. Watch them play. They’re not a particularly well coached team.

And he leaves behind sanctions every where he goes. But you guys are the same ones bashing Coach Wade. Go figure

i'm a huge wade fan but, let's be honest. it's starting to become apparent that wade isn't an elite defensive coach. this is the 2nd year in a row where a very talented team has defensive statistics that are moribund.

i personally don't think the statistics are the be all, end all but, there is clear historical support that teams with lsu's defensive statistics last year and this year don't make it to the final 4 and that was the case last year. this year's team appears to be slightly worse defensively.

having said that, i have never had so much fun watching lsu bball. they are athletic, they hustle and are a blast to watch. i also love wade's streak. the ull timeout was a thing of beauty. it was subtle instead of just crazy\embarrassing like knight's antics.

Horrible take. You cannot comprehend the amount of high quality coaching it takes to get freshmen AAU stars to check egos at the door and buy into team concepts. He is a master at breaking kids down completely and building them back up into team players.
