I’m feeling the SEC is still kissing Bama Arse!

I predicted LSU’s permanent 3 opponents were going to be Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Alabama.
I predicted Alabama’s permanent 3 opponents were going to be Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU.
Now LSU’s schedule got a little softer with A&M instead of Bama.
But the SEC had to reach into the bottom of the barrel to give Bama Moo St!
How to say Vanderbilt without saying Vanderbilt!!!!!!
I had hoped that the addition of Texas and Oklahoma would reduce some of the SEC’s Bama Arse kissing. But I guess not.

Even an unbiased fan with no dog in the fight could see that giving 1 team all 3 of thiose teams as permanent opponents isn't fair. Of those 3, LSU has the least historical importance and is the easy one to cut.

Was NEVER going to happen. Just because you predicted it, doesn't mean Bama got it easy.

Why wouldn’t Alabama play Mississippi State. They’re 80 miles apart.

Might be because the schools aren’t that far apart.

Holy shite dude.
LSU is the ONLY school to not get a Big 6 team or one of Texas/Oklahoma as one of their permanents. Alabama got 2 of them.
Your argument is pretty weak brother.

The closest 2 SEC schools.

Look, they should've used geography as the only fair and direct method which would've given Bama- Auburn, Tenn and Vandy. They didn't and it got slightly harder for Bama.
All good. We got a tougher draw by not getting Moo State and getting A&M, but that will help with recruiting in Texas when we win and kept us from having the easiest three opponents out of the whole re-work.

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. Didn’t know it was the two closest, but I knew they were by each other.

Yes it is.
Now defend the strength of schedule argument I am making.

I'm sorry but why are we doing fricking fair. Play the historic rivalries that make college football great. Teams go up and down so figuring out fair in 2025 is dumb... it wasnt long ago that Tennessee was an auto-win for bama

My prediction is only important for 2 reasons.
First. Traditional rivalries.
Alabama’s are Tennessee and Auburn.
LSU’s top 4 played opponents are Tulane (not SEC), Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Alabama.
Second Strength of schedule
This was supposed to be based on the last 10 year records. The stated SEC goal was for the top half to play 2 top half schools and one bottom. And the bottom half to play 2 bottoms and one top.
Alabama. Tennessee had sucked for most of that time and only has shown life in the last couple. A moderate power. Auburn a moderate power at best.
They needed a strong opponent, or LSU. But the SEC gave them a dirt on the bottom opponent.
Bama gets 2 moderates and the 2nd or 3rd worst team. Moo St gets the number one team of the last 10 years. Fair to each no!
LSU faces Arkansas a moderate team, Texas A&M a moderate to almost good team, Ann Ole Miss a moderate to recently good team. Bama would have been more balanced.

The upper tier team that got off the lightest is Tennessee who has Bama, Kentucky, and Vandy.

I mean I’m not complaining about our three permanents. I’d rather have Vandy than A&M though.
But not having Bama every freaking year is going to be awesome.

Because Bama has been the best team in the last 10 years and State holds Vandy’s hand at the bottom.

Fwiw, the Vols werent the only team Bama beat on.
I wished we could have kept Bama-UF

Aub and Tenn are historically better programs than A&M and Ole Miss they are also historically rivals of Bama stop pulling the victim card on everything. The schedule while somewhat boring makes sense in terms of most historically relevant rivals and an fairly even strength of schedule.

LSU got a break for once. I’d rather play those teams than Auburn and Tennessee every year or Alabama and UGA every year.
