After rewatching the game he by far again had the worst tape.

I kept expecting him to explode to the ball, scrape and make big time tackle, or just stick his head in the next gap to stop the run...but it just never happened when it was suppose to. Sure he made some plays but that's when he just happened to be in the right spot. He never created a play.

Against a team like this he should have looked like an all american but again he looked lost and on his back heals and slow.

Why be that physical and that talented and not become a game changer. I guess I will never understand.

Isn't he our leading tackler?

He’s always our leading tackler because he’s chasing plays down, no one questions his heart or hustle. He played better this game, but he still can’t get off a block to save his life and is terrible at filling gaps - just gets blown out the hole.

Its amazing the number of outstanding players who just don't measure up to Rant experts.
Guys who were starters on the best team in NCAA history have lost their ability to compete.

He really is bad. Always in the wrong gap, can’t cover, won’t take on blockers, doesn’t tackle properly, loves to grab and never stops the ball carrier cold.

Or maybe the starters who left for the nfl masked any deficiencies of the ones who are still here.

I'm befuddled how LSU's leading tackler can be considered bad! You don't teach at Tulane, do you?

I’m befuddled you don’t agree considering Prior to the game you said central Michigan was talented unlike LSU.

I'm confounded by the use of the word befuddled in such a manner. Such tomfoolery and shenanigans are truly unwarranted.

I like Clark, though.

I thought he looked explosive and fast the other night - surprisingly so. But I only watched on TV, haven't seen the all 22 or end zone film.

Put down the crack pipe you dumb moron! He not only leads LSU in tackles but he also leads the SEC as well. Indeed, he was all over the field last Saturday night. In fact, I've been very proud of him so far this season. If he keeps it up, he could be a second round draft choice or even a first rounder.

Damn...some of you ranters just completely blow my mind.

By the way, I also re-watched the game last night and he played outstanding, along with Baskerville, who also had a very good game.

If you have any football sense, then you would agree with OP. Clark has little to no gap discipline. He either overpursues or misses it entirely by over committing and shooting to the wrong gap. His pass defense is even worse. He has a first round body, but plays like a bad high school linebacker. When you see him make a tackle 5 or more yards down field , usually it’s bc he overpurised or shot the wrong gap. He single handily gave up their longest running play of the night doing this. He also forgot to pick up the TE when he released on their second TD pass.
