..when talking about something that is in the best interest for our university.
Woodward is an obvious upgrade over Alleva.
How insecure and pathetic does a person have to be, to be more worried about the media and what fans of rival universities think, instead of what is best for our university?

It’s Ponamsky and his cronies argument

LSU hasn't done anything worth criticizing. Things work out like they do because a lot of shite happens behind the scenes most of us don't understand.
I really don't care what some schmuck from Gumpville has to say about the matter.

Normally the people that say this stand to benefit from keeping status quo

You know what’s also “not a good look” ?
Setting in motion the firing of a football HC who won you a Natty, then backing out after a smidge of backlash. Then firing him anyways 4 games into the next season.
Then replacing said HC of a premier SEC football program ...with a DL coach, who’s record as a HC at that point was putrid.
OR allowing a failure of a head basketball coach and players to decline an NIT bid. OR retaining said failure of a coach and racking up the worst record in the conference.
OR hiring a former LSU Lady Tiger to run your Women’s Basketball program into the ground and doing nothing about it.
OR trading 2 home games for 1 home game with another SEC school who was bent over the barrel and out of options due to Mother Nature.
OR letting a geriatric NCAA basketball pundit and a warship Yahoo report bullying you into suspending your Men’s Head Basketball indefinitely based on 0 new evidence in a court case that hadn’t even gone to trial yet. While in the middle of a SEC regular season title season and being predicted to be a #2 seed in the NCAA tourney.
OR letting your aging and past their prime baseball and football HC’s make a bunch of poorly thought out Coordinator hires
Should I go on? Nah, then those saying “it isn’t a asian look for LSU” can STFU

In this case, the "its not a good look for the university" argument doesn't apply.
Alleva has a long track record of bad decisions and public misrepresentations, particularly when negotiating with coaches. I thought the whole transition from Miles was grounds enough for firing. He knew that people would not have accepted firing Miles simply to hire Orgeron. He decided to deceive people by saying he would hire a championship-caliber, offensive-minded coach. O is neither of those. In hindsight, he never seriously prepared for negotiations and gave up way too easily to hire a coach he could have had for a coordinator's salary at any point.
In all honesty, LSU should have never hired Alleva after he demonstrated poor leadership and poor character with the Duke lacrosse issue.
So to all those people saying that firing Alleva is "not a great look for the university" I say, I disagree. It's a great look for the university. We hired a solid AD from a division rival with an already great track record and has local ties. LSU is correcting a mistake that it never should have made.

Go back and look at some of the threads over the last few months. They're littered with people proclaiming things like "Wade is gone" and "Alleva isn't going anywhere" and "no way would Woodward leave A&M". Those people are now scrambling to save face. They're bitter and saying whatever they can to poop on the parade.

It's just loser mentality. You see it pretty often.
"Don't care if we lose every game as long as the coach is a good man!"

Having Alleva as AD was a bad look for the university.

What I find amusing about the folks trotting that storyline...
We just hired a guy who’s supposed to be a PR master. I think we will be just fine.

Who is arguing that it isn’t a good look? I want to see what the could possibly be using as a basis for that bullshite.
