Snake oil salesman talk. If you think Daronte Jones is "one of the best coordinators available," please seek help. You can be optimistic for the future but, this is the guy they hired after striking out on two great coaches.

With the debacle of last year, O better hope there is a quick turnaround under Daronte Jones. I'll be optimistic. He could be the Joe Brady of the defense..

Or he could make a terrible defense, at least, mediocre/the same as last year.

If the result is the later, Woodward takes the reins and finds his own coach. You just can't defend O anymore making dumb arse decision after dumb arse decision on the coaching staff..

I mean the result was every fan's dream. But at some point, you have to be honest that Joe Brady was the outlier, not the norm.

O is 1-4 when it comes to coordinator hires

He's about 42. If he was the unlikely wizard everyone is hoping for, he would have showed a hint of that by now. Instead he was fired as a DB coach 2 years ago. There's your defensive wizard.

You do realize that all of his coordinators are from the NFL, which means they are some of the best coordinators in all of football right?

Joe Brady and Ensminger were both good hires, and I really think we nailed it with the Peetz hire.

I'm not sure you understand the meaning of the word "coordinator". Because neither of LSU's held that title in the NFL or even D1.

O is a great con-artist. And if you still believe he’s the guy for the job you’re just setting yourself up for more and more heart brake

I really wish the dumbasses who keep saying and complaining about this would show us the rankings of coaches that show who is number 1

So was Cam Cameron, so I’m calling BS. Plus this guy was not a coordinator. I’m not upset with this hire; I’m taking a wait and see attitude. He’ll have a lot of talent and experience to work with.

Everyone that coaches a team outside of the head and the coordinators, are assistants. What's your point?

Head coach and being the right guy to hit the ground running and fix our clusterfrick of a defense are not remotely the same thing
