I would’ve gladly accepted it.
I’m not happy with the current direction of the program. And I damn sure wasn’t happy last Saturday blowing a 8 run lead with 4 outs to go. But going .500 across that stretch isn’t easy and I didn’t expect it at all.

Agreed. We put ourselves into a spot where a trip to Hoover is almost guaranteed

It’s not optimism. I fully expected to take one game at the most over this stretch. Wouldn’t have been surprised to go 0-6.
It’s sad that that’s the expectation this year. The optimism is that hopefully this young team is growing up and we can make a run over the next couple of weeks/sec tourney and see what happens from there.

I certainly tend to the brighter side of things. So here it is:
If we can just make the field, Landon and AJ give us chance to win a regional as well as a super.
What is becoming more infuriating each week is CPM continues to make crazy personnel moves.

We’ll be a tough draw for a regional. Like you said Marceaux and Labas set us up well and if we end up somewhere like Ruston then our bats have proven they can destroy mediocre pitching.
I have a hard time thinking we can do anything offensively in a super regional though.
All of that is jumping the gun though. We’re going to need to do some work in the SEC tourney to even get a bid.

I could buy into some of this, maybe, but our bullpen is what it is and it ain't getting any better the rest of the year! Fontenot gave his best shot at blowing the lead in the game tonight. I'm just ready for it to be over so we can watch CPM ride off into the sunset and make a move to get us back to where we should be as a program.

It's better than not going. Not sure why everyone wants to shite on every program we have (except basketball) constantly. Baseball is in decent shape going forward IMO.
Paul will retire at the end of the year, new blood will come in and the fan base will destroy them too.

Top 12 for hoover. But nothing is guaranteed as LSU is currently 11th right now and hasn’t won more than 2 SEC games in a row all season.
