IMO 20-10 in SEC play makes it happen. No reason LSU doesn’t sweep tomorrow. Arky can’t have many arms left. LSU should have way better pitching left. Let’s not pretend that seeding doesn’t help the cause.

LSU wasn’t a top 8 seed like they were those seasons but LSU also lost a home Super to Florida State in 2019.
LSU was eliminated at the Box in the postseason one time from 1996-2009. Pawl got knocked out at the Box 4 times in 7 tries. Pawl sure loved destroying the Box aura and losing at home in the postseason.

There is a damn good chance you will see an SEC Team in the Supers.

1. Paul
2. Paul
3. Paul
Not just the losses, but the brutality we suffered.
At least we gave the Cinderellas a victory lap!

they better not shite the bed next weekend. that said, we have to be damn near a lock for a 8 seed at this point
Take care of business and they should be locked in at this point. I think Friday and Saturday wins sealed it up.

as long as we don't lose all of the rest of our 4 games in regular season and then lose first game in the sec tournament were fine.
id almost say that we really only need to win one game at usc and we're a top 8 seed . losing today is almost meaningless if youre talking a top 8 seed . it may drop to the 7 instead of the 2 or something if we don't take the series against usc,but it'll be at least 8

yeah 1 win out of our last 5 should do it. 2 more will absolutely lock it up.
i want 21 SEC wins and the #1 seed at this point tho.. lets get greedy

Not so fast. You at least double your chances, but nothing is a given. We've seen this before.

Win today, and 1 more next weekend, and you're top 8.
Right now they're playing for a top 2 or 3 seed in my opinion.

I expect just the opposite. And if a team does, any high-achieving player not draft-eligible will probably be on a P4 team the next season.

In 2024 6 of top 16 did not make it out of Regional
3 of top 8 did not make it to Omaha.

Tell that to the 3 top 8’s that dont make it to omaha every year
Posted on 5/11/25 at 9:46 am to Phillytiger9
Absolutely. Except 2012. Or 2014. Or 2016. Or 2019 (weren't top 8 but still played at home).
Of course it's much more likely if we play at home but it's far from.a guarantee.

Stoney Brook and Coastal Carolina were annoying but that Houston exit was bullshite. Pulmonary really pissed that one away
You could at least say that the other two came in and were quality opponents

I think this would be more accurate…. Getting a national seed gives you a great chance to make it to Omaha. Not getting a national seed, and playing on the road for a regional and/or Super, makes it very difficult to get to Omaha. Seeing as LSU has never a won a Super on the road, history says we want home Supers.
But no, a national seed - while setting you up well - absolutely does not guarantee a trip to Omaha. Every decent program in America has lost a home regional or Super at some point, LSU included… so it’s by no means a guarantee. You still have to take care of business.

We can be as high as #1 with a week to go if Florida, LSU, Alabama win today.
I’ll be good with a 2/3 seed even though Tennessee broke the #1 overall seed curse last year
