the audacity of you saying this is astounding. you bashed the last coach for years. the coach that didnt lose to a mid major and didnt have the WORST loss in lsu-msu history.

so if you dont like the coach its ok to nonstop call him out but since its not the coach you dont like, people shoukd stop. got it.

That being said if you are looking ahead at all next year and the year after are set up where we should be competing for titles.

I agree that we have all the pieces (sans maybe a couple of linemen) for a title run coming together, I just don't know how confident I am in the coaching staff to capitalize. This feels like what we were told every year after 2008 while Miles was in town, and to be fair we did have one title run and a fantastic trio of years from 2010-2012, but we fell short then due to coaching, and so many of the other warning signs are present that I wonder whether we've really gotten a fix to the coaching weakness.

You said we have to look at it "Where we stand now" or something like that. Didnt you say that over and over again? Why are we changing that now? Currently we are 16th in recruiting. Oklahoma is 10th. Thats where we stand now.

quote:

And losing to Troy is not the same thing as losing to a bad conference opponent. Especially one who has failed in recruiting.

I agree. Its not exactly down to the wire exactly the exact same. But to not acknowledge that was one of the worst losses in Oklahoma history is assinine. We arent even arguing that it was a bad loss, you are just arguing that one loss wasnt as bad as the other, which I disagree. That loss to Iowa State will hurt Oklahoma just as bad as the loss to Troy to LSU. Do you disagree with that?

quote:

And again, you failed to acknowledge that beating OSU is not the same thing as beating Florida.

Whats the point of this? Regardless of what you and I think, Oklahoma being ranked in the top 10 beat a Top 5 school away. LSU, while unranked beat a ranked team away. Why do I have to acknowledge that one was 5 and the other was 21? They were both ranked. That was my statement. You want to bend the recruiting numbers to your favor. I can do that too

Why is this even an argument? All I said was that both have beaten ranked teams.

quote:

And you also fail to acknowledge that O is burying himself in the media.

I havent acknowledged it because we agree on this point. Do I have to say "I agree with you" so that you dont get upset?

wrong. right now lsu does not have a win over a team currently ranked.

That a bullshite argument. You put a timeline on all my arguments but you want to "look at all the factors" to make yours legit. I gave you plenty of facts. If you dont want to look at them fine. Thats your prerogative.

Bottom line:

O is struggling as head coach. We all acknowledge that and agree. Hes done some things that most of us wouldnt want in a head coach. He wont be here if he continues down that path.

Do you think if Orgeron is here for 3 years that the LSU program will never ever recover? I think they will recover just fine. That is what I responded to, thats what you tried to pick apart. Good debate

I'm not changing it. We just lost our top recruit and there are CURRENTLY negative rumors about next year. No negative rumors going on at Oklahoma.

Yes. One team is perceived better than the other. Do you disagree with that?

Just looking at the rankings between 10 and 16 is not alarming in itself, but it's the other factors that go along with that. Losing your top recruit, negative perception for this year and 2019, etc.

However, the difference between destroying the #2 team in the country and barely beating the #21 team in the country is ridiculous. Come on.

If you agree with this point then you have to agree with the fact that it's OK to judge O more harshly than Riley. So what are we talking about?

Just a little humor.

For the most part I think everyone is on the same page with O. He has to show more and be a better coach. All the arguments in between are minor.

Miles provided plenty of fodder for griping.

CEO has too to an extent. But you're acting like this silly, childish BS you're spewing out about CEO is going to change anything. It won't.

And for the record, I'm ready to can his arse too but can still enjoy a win.

Theres no way it can be worse than Etling.

Well Etling is the best QB LSU has had in ten years aside from Mett, so...yeah it could be worse and O doesn't have the luxury of prepping for the future. He needs wins now.

the rant has told me that anyone could win 10 games a year at LSU

That was BS and anyone with a lick of football sense knew it. The great Saban couldn't even average ten wins a year in his time at LSU and never even had back to back ten wins seasons.

We hired a DL coach who had a 3-21 SEC record. Let me say that one more time. We hired at fricking LSU a coach who had a 3-21 SEC record~! Who in the frick does a retarded thing like that?

Now, the O enablers are doing backward flips trying to make up excuses when their man shits in his bed twice in his first six games.

Its some funny shite to see clowns who pissed and moaned the most the last ten years now complaining over people complaining about a LSU program destroyed by fricking State and beat by SBC Troy.

its amazing that you cant see youre griping about something you did far more and far longer.

i enjoyed the Florida win too but that win in no way proves O has us moving in the right direction.

Exactly!

The last staff sucks going 10-3, but its ok if this staff goes 7-5 or 8-4 or 9-3.
