if we use a dual threat qb we want him to be able to pass like a pocket passer

and those guys are rare. think about it. what style of football does Coach O want to run? the kind SoCal and Miami used to run when they were championship teams. pro style qb's who could move the ball down the field in the air and could score on big pass plays. it's no secret. so who are the qb's that feel left out? the guys who have more talent in their feet than in their arm. (I don't mean simple arm strength - I mean consistency and accuracy).

it's a philosophical decision.

If anyone thought we hired Ensminger, and NFL OL coach, an NFL WR coah and a USC RB coach to run anything besides a pro style
Offense they were delusional.

that's right; ALL QB'S need to be able to pass well. the running ability is just an added bonus. every watch the pro's? how about the NC winners? their QB's are very good at reading defenses and passing the football.

with Burrow and a platoon of RBs

if he wanted to recreate the USC offense, why didn't he just hire norm chow then?
