If we sweep AU might we host a regional???

What do you think? Sweeping AU in Auburn would be a huge accomplishment and the stars would have to line up just right but we could do it. We have the talent if everybody is "on".

If history is an indicator, they’ll win 2/3 this weekend and play Sunday in Hoover and somehow get a top 16 seed.

I don’t think that would do it. Also I’m pretty sure the host sites are announced during the SEC championship game if I recall. At least they used to be but that may have changed.

We would need to sweep Auburn and win the SEC tournament. But even then our RPI probably wouldnt be high enough to host.

I’m not worried. I will watch the series and enjoy it for what it is. If they sweep they sweep.

We'd have to WIN the SEC Tournament to host a 1st-round regional. I believe we'd need both Smith and Labas back to have any shot of doing that. We'd also have to hope we can avoid Florida or Florida's #1 or #2 pitchers; they're just too damn good.

IF the Tigers sweep Aubarn,, and get a 4 seed in the tourney, then sweep the SEC Tourney, there is a possibility.
They will need some help to get the #4 seed even if they sweep this weekend.
So, to answer your question, YES, there is a possibility. But, this team will have to improve a lot for all of that to happen.

Never really understood RPI, compare records to Auburn and Auburn could be 14-16 with a series loss but is still pretty much a lock for tourney with a losing SEC record. I doubt Auburn played any better non conf schedule with Texas and Notre Dame on LSU schedule

Hopefully we can take 2 out of 3 and just make a regional. Don't believe , we will host at all but just making the tournament after this year would be a huge accomplishment.

LSU would have to sweep Auburn and win all games in SEC tournament to have chance.
