Absolutely.

No chance it happens, though

No. Not at all. I don’t want to beat Bama. I want championships. Beating Bama is obviously always a sweet thing but LSU is about getting hardware, not beating Bama. It just so happens that usually we have to beat them along the way.

Ask Auburn how that worked out for them

Curly never had anything else to point to as an accomplishment, whereas O could use a win this year to indicate the team is back on track. Remember, O had as many wins last year as Curly had in 4 years (almost).

I would encourage you to enjoy each week's competition and celebrate each victory. That should apply to life, not just football. Pursue excellence, not perfection. Otherwise, your football season (and your life) will be full of disappointment.

I think a miracle is underselling how unlikely it is LSU will win this game.

I agree to a degree. I don't get all upset and let it ruin my week when LSU loses. With that being said, if LSU considers itself an elite program, it cannot base its season on a win against any one particular opponent. When your season becomes about beating one certain team rather than winning the conference/getting to the CFP, you aren't elite. It's just about who and what you want to be as a program.

I remember leaving our section and getting to the concourse at B-D and two idiot fans whining about the fact that LSU won Curley would be back in '94.

one miracle win in an otherwise horrific season doesn't mean much. Now if he follows that up with wins over Florida and Ole Miss, then yes, clearly he did something that turned the season around and would get credit, at least for that.

But those chances are 0.0.
