If we had a competent offense scoring 30+ a game and 4 losses would this be acceptable?

We have 2 losses and a chance to win 10 games but people are not happy because our often times incompetent offense. If we were scoring at a 30+ a game clip and showed something on offense would this be acceptable to people? Me, I'm all about win at all costs. Sure we win ugly but we win none the less.

Why would any fan want their team to lose more???

If we scored 30+ a game, LSU would be 10-0

irrational question, does not take into account defense...

I'll take the ugly win every time. Every year you see some no name college take a powerhouse down to the wire. An ugly win is a win.

You just don’t get it do you? The goal is to make the playoff and that can’t be achieved with the offense we have now. The old defense wins championships is becoming a thing of the past.

Man how times have changed.
Winning ugly wasn't good enough in the past, now it is.

Bottom line: What is the goal of this program?
If it's to win SEC and national championships then the HAVE to beat Alabama. There's no way around that with LSU being in the SECW. That's not happening when your current OC has hung a grand total of 0 points against them in two tries.
If the goal is to have good, but not championship level teams, then LSU is fine right now.
I know it sounds crazy, but it IS possible to have both a competent offense AND a great defense.

For some reason the majority of our fan base doesn’t get this. It’s like they haven’t watched any other college football except LSU the past few years

No.
What is happening? Why are we negotiating success at LSU? We arent Vandy.
Unbelievable some of you folks.

If LSU had even an average offense this year, there's a chance we'd be heading to the playoffs.
That's the gripe.
We all saw problems in our offense leading up to the season, at the beginning of the season, and even during the season; yet the powers that be did not correct or adjust to obvious flaws.
The fear is that these problems will continue.
It has nothing to do with winning ugly, and everything to do with being competent on one side of the ball.

We don’t have to choose
Wouldn’t you be happier we we scored 30+ every game and we’re 10-0 with a chance at an undefeated season?

This is exactly the kind of attitude Les Miles had. We won the game so everything is okay. Forget striving to be better to give ourselves a bigger margin of error. Forget anticipating any possible problems ahead.

Would you rather be us or OU?
Or will nothing but BAMA do?

There's a reason Nick Saban is the coach he is and it's because he never settles for just getting by.
His teams are held to his standard not a standard of just being good enough to win

I am going to do my best to honestly engage with a question that I really don't think deserves it.
Would I be happier if LSU were 6-4 and scoring 30+ a game? Well I certainly wouldn't be happier about this year, but I think my outlook for the future would be brighter. The only way I could imagine that happening would be a massive number of injuries on the defensive side of the ball, which would obviously suck for this year to be missing out on White, Greedy, Delpit, etc.
It would mean that next year, with a healthy defense and a productive offense that a championship would be a real possibility. So yes, for this year only I want as many wins as we can get. But in terms of looking ahead to the future I think seeing a productive offense would make me more confident that this regime had what it takes to win it all. If the problem on defense was just that the defense was inexplicably terrible that might be a different story.

Its amazing how quick O sycophants convinced everyone that we should expect or strive for titles.
No team has ever won a title with an offense this shitty.

If we had an offense that would score at least 30 points a game we would be undefeated right now
