If the SEC and ACC work out an OOC game for in state games, we should try to play Tulane

Supposedly the SEC and ACC are negotiating something on the lines of if there are conference games only, instate games with Ga Tech-Georgia, Fla State-Florida ,etc can be preserved.

I would hope if conference only is the plan we could push for some sort of addendum to play Tulane this year.

Tulane???? For what? So we can watch our backups play? Leave Texas on the schedule you can take all the rest

I'm confused. How does the ACC and SEC working on an OOC schedule bring Tulane into play at all? Wouldn't they have to be in the ACC?

So Tulane can play a one game season and get their asses kicked? I don’t see it happening

What is with the obsession of LSU playing Tulane in football?

Tuck Fulane

I'd rather play Southern. At least the halftime would be entertaining

Or just cut the Big 12 into the deal for the rest of the SEC schools and keep the Texas game on the schedule.

Feels like we could easily work out something between the P5 conferences to ensure everyone has OOC games still and still be confident in them having the resources to properly test and protocol

I think the point was to keep important in-state rivalries where possible. Not to find a non-conference game for everyone. Otherwise everyone would just play their normal schedule.

I wish we played Tulane every year home and home thanksgiving weekend and they actually were worth a shite.

That would be cool, but Tulane doesn't care to be worth a shite in football. That's why they left the SEC in the first place.

This is the move.

UGA-GA Tech, UF-FSU, UL-UK, Clemson-SC, and the other 10 play the Big 12 that week.

Already have LSU-Texas, Tenn-OU, and Ole Miss-Baylor on the books anyway. Would keep those games on schedule. TCU was already trying to play Bama in Arlington too. Makes a ton of sense.

You can’t have one without the other. SEC can’t and won’t give 4 teams an OOC game and not have everyone else in the same boat.

If you want those games to happen, you need to pair the rest of the league up with OOC games

Why what?

You’re not gonna have Florida play 9 games and LSU play 8 games. No one would be happy with that. Not the league, not the schools, not the fans. It’s pretty elementary

Who is UL? I am aware of a school called The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (alternatively known as USL) but as far as I know there is only one flagship school in this state
