Jezzus Christ we have some crybabies on here. Same pussies that wanted Aranda fired after Ole Miss.
The season will be salvaged by going to a basic HS zone concept, which will be good enough to beat anyone if the O keeps hanging 40.
Pelini will not be fired this year. Quit whining about it,

Dude, I never complained about Aranda. Many of the Pelini lovers did though.
And if Pelini continues to suck, he will be fired. Otherwise we will lose all our elite defensive recruits.

That’s the problem. We won’t keep scoring 40 on everyone. Eventually, our defense is going to have to have a pulse. We already played the three worst teams on the schedule.

What makes you so sure?
The defense looked like hammered crap against Moo State and there was no improvement when we played a team in Missouri that hadn't won a game until we played them. There was no improvement. We played three of the worst teams on the schedule.
None. No improvement at all on defense.
But now we're getting into the meat of the schedule and you think Bo can just turn it around just like that? He couldn't do it to beat freaking Missouri. But he's going to do it to beat Bama, Auburn, A&M, Florida, Ole Miss, crap, even Arkansas.
I agree with the OP. If Pelini's defense continues to look so lost and out of sorts, O will be on the hot seat. O won't be fired this year but at some point O has to make a decision about how long to stick with Pelini.
Why he gave him such a huge contract is beyond me but that's for a different thread.

Oh that's interesting. Everyone else has low IQ but you.
You're on this island, maybe you're the one that isn't seeing things clearly.

If things don't at least improve with extra practice time I find a hard time disagreeing with the idea of pulling the plug.
There has to be some improvement, we can't keep going backwards. At least some.
Under almost all circumstances firing Bo right now makes little sense. But seriously, if it is worse next week it has to at least be considered.
Do I think it will be worse and show zero improvement? Well... no. I find it virtually impossible that we'll take another step back defensively. But that's why the nuclear option should be considered if they do.

-making O potentially pay pelini’s buyout
What are you, 12? The Board can’t make Ed pay anything. He has a contract that determines all of that.

Normally I agree, but we are so bad on defense the conversation has to be started.

Sounds like whining Pirate King. What exactly are you a pirate of?

Stop your crying and your tantrum. Bo sucks. He must go. Accept this and move on.

I think the Pirate King may be 14 years old.

Good analysis. I can’t believe we’re this inept. Coach O whiffed on Pelini and we’re stuck in mediocrity once again.

If the D can improve 20%, we can win 5 more games.
Most of the SEC teams are garbage right now. We can win most with a little improvement on both sides of the ball. Bo needs to get some things fixed. Steve needs some good 3rd down plays.

You have to fire Pelini immediately. No matter the cost.
It is becoming painfully obvious to me that nobody is getting much more out of the guys that are on the field. I would start putting some new blood out there especially at LB and safety.

If you fire Pelini, Smith and Foreman are guaranteed gone. Nothing runs recruits off like coaches’ job security.
